Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium having excellent light stability and reproduction characteristics, by providing a recording layer comprising a specified metal complex and a specified organic compound and comprising a specified coloring matter. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer is provided which comprises a specified metal complex of formula [i] and an organic compound of any of formulas [ii]-1-[ii]-4 having absorption at or below 400nm, and comprises a coloring matter of formula [iii]-1 or [iii]-2. In formula [i], each of R1-R4 is an alkyl or phenyl, each of X and Y is hydrogen, a halogen, alkyl, allyl, carboxyl, alkoxyl, acyl or nitro, and M is a transition metal such as Ni, Co, Fe, Cr and Pt. In formulas [ii], each of X, Y and Z is hydrogen, an alkyl, carboxyl or the like, and R is hydrogen, an alkyl or the like.
