Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable precise control by providing a throttle valve in series with a brake valve and a changeover valve arranged in a circuit located in prestage of a brake actuator. CONSTITUTION:In a brake unit, a modulator constituting an anti-skid device is arranged between an actuator 3 for operating a brake operator 2 associated with a wheel 1 and a relay valve 5 for relaying compression air which is fed based on the operation of a manually operated brake valve 4. The modulator 6 comprises first and second normal open valves 10, 20 connected in series. A throttle valve 40 is further coupled to the post-stage of the second valve 20. A circuit 41 detouring the throttle valve 40 is provided and a third normal open valve 30 is arranged as a changeover valve in the detouring circuit 41 and controlled to be switched to a flow path at the side of the throttle valve 40 upon occurrence of pressure reduction signal.
