Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled cold-rolled steel sheet capable of facilitating the subsequent pickling treatment in a short time, by applying an aqueous solution of alkali salt to a hot-rolled steel plate containing specific amounts of Cr under specific conditions and then subjecting the above plate to cold rolling and annealing. CONSTITUTION:At the time of manufacturing a cold-rolled steel sheet containing 1-25% Cr, cold rolling is applied to a hot-rolled steel plate at 5-95% draft while applying an aqueous solution of the alkali salt of Na or K or 0.1-10% concentration, without removing the scales formed due to hot rolling. Subsequently, the cold-rolled sheet is annealed in a nonreducing atmosphere at the ordinary annealing temp. (about 500-1,200 deg.C) and then subjected to pickling for improving brightness characteristics. By this method, as compared with the case in which hot-rolled steel plate are pickled, pickling time can be remarkably shortened.
