Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the riding comfort of a car compatible with its controllability in each pair of front and rear upper and lower linkarms which connect upper and lower parts of a wheel supporting hubcarrier with a car body, by providing at least one linkarm along a wheel axis. CONSTITUTION:A wheel 1 is rotatably supported by a bearing 3 protrudingly provided on a hubcarrier 2, and one side ends 6a, 7a of upper linkarms 6, 7 and those 8a, 9a of lower linkarms 8, 9 are pivotally mounted at front and rear positions in upper and lower parts of the hubcarrier 2 respectively. In this case, the rear lower linkarm 8 is linearly extended along a car width direction, and the front lower linkarm 8 is extended toward the oblique front of a car body to function as an adjusting rod too, and the lower end of a shock absorbing device 10 composed of a compression coil spring and an oil damper is connected to a middle part of the rear lower linkarm 9.
