Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a paper to be fed without slippage on a platen roller, by providing one-way clutches by which of a pair of pinch rollers, the one located on the backward side with respect to the moving direction of the paper is rotated at a circumferential velocity smaller than that of a platen roller according to the ratio of rotation thereof, based on reciprocation of the paper. CONSTITUTION:A pinch roller 10 on the paper-discharging side is driven by a platen roller 9 due to slippage of a one-way clutch 29, whereas a pinch roller 11 on the paper-supplying side is also driven by the platen roller 9 due to slippage of a one-way clutch 30. When the platen roller 9 is rotated in the direction of an arrow A to feed out a paper 3, the pinch roller 11 on the paper-supplying side is decelerated, so that the velocity of feeding by the pinch roller 10 on the paper-discharging side becomes greater, and a slack generated in the paper 3 at the time of supplying the paper 3 is gradually removed. When the platen roller 9 is rotated in the direction of an arrow B to return the leading end of the paper 3 to the position of a sensor 19 for detecting the leading end, the roller 10 is decelerated, so that the velocity of feeding by the roller 11 becomes greater, and a slack in the paper 3 is removed. Thus, the paper 3 is set into close contact with the platen roller 9.
