Abstract
PURPOSE:To lengthen the expected life span of parts by connecting a shaft of a separating roller to a rotating member for transmitting rotation only in the opposite direction to paper feeding and providing the rotating member with a stopping member. CONSTITUTION:When a paper is fed out by a roller 1, and further by feed rollers 23, 24 so as to be clamped between the roller 1 and a separating roller 13, the paper is about to rotate the separating roller 13 and a roller shaft 12 in the paper-feeding direction, but one-way clutch 14 is adapted to bring an engaging portion 16 of a forward rotation preventing lever 15 into engagement with an elongated hole 17 to stop the rotation. Thus, a frictional separating surface of the separating roller can be always changed, which results in that the roller is uniformly worn away so as to lengthen the parts life span thereof.
