Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily detect projection light with an extremely low level by transmitting the projection light freely to an optional position through a condenser lens and an optical waveguide fiber and also installing the detection part of an optical system freely at a distance from a light projection device main body. CONSTITUTION:Even when the projection light 13 emitted by the light projection device main body 10 is low in level, it is entered efficiently into the optical waveguide fiber 16 which has high coupling efficient and a large diameter through the condenser lens and the optical fiber 16, and guided from the other end to a detection part 17. The detection part 17 is installed at the distance from the light projection device main body 10, and even low-level sent light is detected by a photodetector 21 through the operation of its chopper 19. Consequently, even the extremely-low-level projection light is easily handled.
