Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the deterioration of ductility of a weld zone by heating immediately a bead part of base metal welded with a laser beam by a high-frequency induction heating coil in an inert gas atmosphere to prevent quench hardening of the weld bead part. CONSTITUTION:A joining part of a steel plate 6 to be welded is welded by the progress of the laser beam 7 of a laser beam welding torch 1. Said weld bead 5 is immediately heated by the high-frequency induction heating coil 4 in the inert gas atmosphere in a cover 9 and the quench hardening of the weld bead part 5 is prevented. By this method, the structure of the weld zone is formed to the low hardness structure same as the base metal mainly composed of pearlite and ferrite to prevent the deterioration of the ductility.
