Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep a good balance, by positioning the centre of gravity of a rotating section composed of a magnet, a subplate, a sleeve and a thrust pad approximately at the centre of two bearing sections. CONSTITUTION:A plane-faced type motor has a housing 1, a shaft 2, a sleeve 3, an attracting magnet 4, a thrust pad 5 and a lubricant 6 and is equipped with a back plate 17 secured to the lower end face 3e of the sleeve 3, a hollow disc-shaped stator 19 and a subplate 20, an FG magnet 21 and an FG printed board 22. The sleeve 3 rotates coaxially with the above shaft 2 and is equipped with bearing sections 3a-3b on two spots, up and down, in a bore. It is constituted so that the centre of gravity of the rotating section will be positioned in the centre of these bearing sections. The load per unit area will thereby be equalized and the load capacity is well-balanced, so that fluid lubrication is performed in far lower rotating speed.
