Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of a frame, and to increase the degree of freedom in the arrangement of an engine and the exhaust pipe by connecting the upper part of a down tube to the upper rail in the vicinity of the connecting bracket of a hydraulic shock absorber, and providing the support part of the engine front end part to the lower part. CONSTITUTION: A down tube 16 supports the front end part of an engine 33 by means of a bracket 35, and the upper end part thereof is joined to the welding part of an upper bracket 31 for supporting an upper rail 13 and the upper end part of a hydraulic shock absorber 32. Therefore, the impact to the welding part through the hydraulic shock absorber of the front wheels 23 is received as a tension of the down tube 16, and released to the lower rail 14 side. Accordingly, the down tube 16 is also used as the support of the engine 33 and the reinforcing function of the connecting part of the upper bracket 31, so that the structure of a frame 11 can be simplified. Further, the number of the frame parts in front of the engine 33 can be reduced for widening the space, and in cooperation with the inclination of the down tube 16, the degree of freedom in the arrangement of a cylinder 37 can be increased, and the layout of an exhaust pipe 38 can be easily carried out.
