Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an outer wheel to be altered to the negative camber condition only in steering by providing a means for converting the rotational motion of a damper shaft about a king pin shaft in the steering to the motion of the upper end of a strut moving inside a car body. CONSTITUTION:A strut 10 is provided with a shock absorber 12 and a coiled spring 46. The shock absorber 12 is provided with a tubular body 14 and a piston rod 16. Then, a support 48 is mounted on the upper end of piston rod 16 by a nut 50. Also, the support 48 is mounted on an intermediate member 62 through an elastic body 60, while the intermediate member 62 is mounted on a holder 66 through an elastic body 64. The support 48 is formed on the upper surface with a plurality of projections 72, 74, while the respective projections 72, 74 are provided with steep slant portions AB, EF respectively. Thus, forces directed inside a vehicle body are generated at a plurality of points P, Q of the support 48 in steering to move the support 48 inside the vehicle body.
