Abstract

PURPOSE: To remarkably reduce conventional strand suspension equipment by a method hauling rope is arranged in a state to be directly suspended between a tower and an anchorage and a strand is suspended through reciprocation of a hauling rope. CONSTITUTION: A hauling rope 9 is directly fed from a hauling rope drive device to a guide roller unit 24 at the upper part of a tower 7 through a hauling guide roller 19 on the upper surface of the rear part of an anchorage 8. A dead wire is then wound around a strand shoe 18 and wound around a spinning wheel 11 and the hauling rope 9 is reciprocated the given number of times, and a single strand 20 is suspended between a tower 7 and the strand shoe 18. A plurality of the strands 20 are suspended by the same procedures described above to form a single suspension bridge cable. This constitution eliminates a need to vary the direction of the hauling rope.
