Abstract

PURPOSE:To separate the titled compound useful as an antitumor agent as a single component, by adsorbing a mixture consisting of human lymphotoxin and a partial hydrolyzate thereof on specific polysaccharides and desorbing the adsorbed lymphotoxin with an aqueous solution of an inorganic salt. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of human lymphotoxin and a partial hydrolyzate thereof is adsorbed on water-insoluble polysaccharides (e.g. cellulose sulfate, agarose sulfate or crosslinked dextran sulfate) having linked sulfuric acid groups. The adsorbed human lymphotoxin is then desorbed with an aqueous solution of an inorganic salt to separate the aimed human lymphotoxin.
