Abstract
PURPOSE:To separate and collect the materials having excellent superconductivity by cooling the calcined powder supplied into a refrigerant vessel through a guide pipe to a lower than the critical temp. of the superconductive material, and then injecting the powder under the influence of a magnetic force. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerant 2 such as liquefied nitrogen kept at a temp. lower than the critical temp. of the superconductive material is charged in the refrigerant vessel 3, and calcined powder 5 is then supplied into the refrigerant vessel 3 through the guide pipe 4. The calcined powder 5 obtained by heat-treating the mixed powder of the oxide-based superconductive material such as A-B-Cu-O is passed through the guide pipe 4, cooled therein to a specified temp., and discharged from a discharge port 7. when the powder is discharged, the material 9 having superconductivity is subject to the magnetic force of a magnet 8 whose one magnetic pole is arranged around the discharge port 7, energized by the Meissner effect in the flying direction, and dropped onto a belt conveyor 14. The other powder is accumulated in the refrigerant vessel 3 below the discharge port 7.
