Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a super conductive cable excellent in superconductive property and mechanical strength by rolling a thin plate which was made by rolling a multilayer plate that includes specific elements so as to insert into a metal pipe and contract the diameter and further inserting plural contracted core wires into a metal pipe to contract the diameter and apply heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:Y-Cu alloy plate 1 and a copper plate 2 in which copper oxide grains are dispersed are joined so as to make a two-layer plate 3 and a Ba-Cu alloy plate 4 and a copper plate 5 in which copper oxide grains are dispersed are joined to make a two-layer plate 6. Next, two-layer plates 3, 6 are joined together with an alloy plate 1 and an alloy plate opposed to each other so as to make a four-layer plate 7 and this four-layer plate 7 is rolled into a thin plate and then this thin plate is rolled into a spiral-shape to form a roll body 8. The roll body 8 is inserted into a Y-Cu alloy pipe 9 and next made into a core wire 10 by paring the diameter. Plural core wires 10 are inserted into a Y-Cu pipe 11 and made into multi-core wire by paring the diameter. This multi-core wire is made into a superconductive cable by applying heat treatment. In this way, a superconductive cable having a uniform superconductive property ranging over the whole length can be made, and a superconductive cable high in mechanical strength can be made.
