Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow the correspondence between the actual movement of a mouse and the mouse output to be always 1 to 1 independently of the inclination of the mouse by correcting the increment values of the moving distances of the mouse body in both X and Y directions. CONSTITUTION:The mouse includes a gyro angle extracting circuit 10 for extracting an angle formed by a direction indicated by a gyro 9 and an X axis fixedly determined on the mouse body and a reference angle difference extracting circuit 11 for writing the angle of the gyro in a memory 7 when a reference angle setting switch 8 is turned on and extracting a difference between the gyro angle written in the memory 7 and that applied from the circuit 10. Namely, the increment values of the moving distances of the mouse body in both the X and Y directions are corrected by an increment value correcting circuit 6 on the basis of the difference extracted by the circuit 11. Consequently, the movement of the mouse can be always allowed to correspond to the mouse output independently of the inclination of the mouse.
