Abstract
PURPOSE:To satisfy the magnitude and rising speed of the intensity of an inclined magnetic field even when the caliber of a coil is made extremely small, by bringing an inclined magnetic field reversal coil and the other inclined magnetic field coil to a separate structure respectively. CONSTITUTION:An inclined magnetic field reversal coil 1 and other inclined magnetic field coil 2 are arranged in a main magnet for generating a static magnetic field as a separate structure. The caliber of the inclined magnetic field reversal coil 1 is made as small as possible and, by this, the intensity of a reversed inclined is made large and the rising obtaining the reversed inclined magnetic field is made rapid. Therefore, the inclined magnetic field reversal coil 1 can be used in the MRI apparatus of this kind in the state arranged in the internal space formed by the other inclined magnetic field coil 2.
