Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately make a laser beam follow up a track by correcting the eccentricity of a disk, by providing an actuator equalization circuit, and applying closed loop control on a stored eccentric quantity. CONSTITUTION:The actuator equalization circuit 10 which detects the displacement of a laser beam as an electric quantity is provided. Then, the eccentric quantity of an optical disk is detected by a tracking error signal, and is stored in an eccentric waveform storage circuit 2. By oscillating a track actuator means by the signal, the displacement quantity is detected at the equalization circuit 10, and the signal is fed back to the eccentric waveform circuit 2, and is compared with the eccentric quantity stored as a target, thereby, the closed loop control for the correction of the eccentricity is performed. Therefore, it is possible to make the laser beam follow up the track accurately by correcting the eccentricity of the disk without being affected by the influence of low area resonance in the actuator.
