Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity of an electrophotographic sensitive body and electric chargeability of a photoconductive layer by forming an interlayer containing a binder for a charge generating layer and a charge transfer material between the charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by coating a conductive supporting body 1 with a coating solution containing a charge generating material, drying it to form the charge generating layer 2, dissolving and dispersing the charge transfer material together with a synthetic resin for the binder resin of the layer 2 in an organic solvent, coating the layer 2 to form the interlayer 4 after drying, dissolving and dispersing a material containing the charge transfer material in a concentration lower than that in the layer 4 together with a synthetic resin for a binder resin in an organic solvent, coating the layer 4 to form the charge transfer layer 3 after drying, thus permitting chargeability of the photoconductive layer to be improved and the photosensitive body high in sensitivity to be obtained.
