Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve rising of cooling operation by controlling the driving of a fan for cooling a compressor such that driving of the compressor is delayed thereby circulating refrigerant smoothly immediately after driving compressor. CONSTITUTION: When the temperature detected by an inner temperature sensor 9 exceeds a set level, a relay 8a for driving a compressor 5 is turned on to drive the compressor 5 and a refrigerator is cooled. Time is then counted by a timer 12 built in a microcomputer 10 and a preset time is elapsed, a relay 11 for driving a fan 6 is turned on to drive the fan 6 thus cooling the compressor 5. When the temperature detected by an inner temperature sensor 9 drops below a set level, both relays 8a, 11 are turned off to stop the compressor 5 and the fan 6 and the cycle is repeated to perform cooling operation. According to the arrangement, the fan is not operated uselessly and circulation quantity of refrigerant is increased immediately after operation of the compressor thus enhancing the rising characteristics of cooling operation.
