Abstract

PURPOSE:To save the motive power of a power source loaded on the automobile appropriately by lowering a cooling capacity when the amount of opening of a car room reaches a prescribed level due to the opening of an open-and-close part for the car room at a time when the air conditioning by the cooling operation is in the stable condition. CONSTITUTION:The air conditioning device for automobile is equipped with a microcomputer 16 whereto the output from a room sensor 9, an outside air temperature sensor 10 and a temperature setting apparatus 11 is inputted through A/D conversion 15, and the microcomputer processes the input by operation according to a controlling program for air conditioning and thereby controls a freezing cycle containing a compressor 5 connected with an evaporator 4. Moreover, to the computer 16 is inputted the output of a door switch 13, a window switch 12 and an economy mode switch 14, all detecting the state of opening of the window. And, under the condition that the room air conditioning by the freezing cycle operation is stable, a driving circuit 18 is controlled to lower the cooling capacity when the amount of opening of the car room due to the opening of the door is judged to have reached the prescribed level.
