Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent excess/shortage of received optical power and deterioration of life by driving the luminous element with constant current to control gain for change in luminous output intensity due to environmental change, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The photodetector 8 and amplifier circuit 10 are provided to allow the optical output by the luminous element 1 to be monitored and to allow the gain of amplifier circuit 9 to be controlled by providing the gain adjusting circuit 11. Then, the microcomputer 16 is used to control feedback of gain being based on the monitoring result of optical output for enabling drift due to optical output intensity change of luminous element 1 not to be included in the output of amplifier circuit 9. Namely, the drift of oscillating wavelength of luminous element 1 is eliminated by driving the luminous element 1 with constant current and the drift given to the detection of rotary angle speed is canceled by applying gain control in the detection signal system.
