Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate work of connecting a sensor body to an external electrode while improving the holding strength thereof eliminating a lead for connecting a detection electrode to the external electrode, by arranging the sensor body on a heat- resistant insulating substrate to connect a heat-generating metal body and the detection electrode directly to at least three film-like electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A common electrode 14 and a detection electrode 16 are provided by vacuum evaporation or the like using gold or the like. A heat-resistant insulating cover is provided on the ground of a gas sensitive substance layer 6 and the electrodes 14 and 16 to be insulated from a heat-generating metal body 2 and then, a sensor body 18 is built as a whole. Film-shaped electrodes 24, 26 and 28 are provided by printing or the like of gold or the like. Both ends of the heat-generating metal body 2 are connected to the electrodes 24 and 28 by welding or the like while the common electrode 14 is connected to the film-like electrode 24 and the detection electrode 16 to the film-like electrode 26 by a conducting adhesive 30 or the like such as gold paste. This eliminates a lead for connecting the detection electrode 16 to an external electrode while facilitating work of connecting the sensor body 18 to the film-like electrode 24 or the like along with a greater strength after connection.
