Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled substances, by reacting a 3-alkoxy-5-amino-1H- pyrazole synthesized by using a lower alcohol having a specific temperature or below of the boiling point with alcohols having the above-mentioned specific temperature or above of the boiling point in the presence of a strong acid. CONSTITUTION:A compound expressed by formula I (R<2> is a group derived from an alcohol, expressed by the formula R<2>-OH and having <100 deg.C boiling point; X is substituent group; Y is acid radical, n is 0 or a positive number) is reacted with alcohols expressed by formula II (R<1> is a group derived from an alcohol, expressed by the formula R<1>OH and having >=100 deg.C boiling point) in the presence of a strong acid (preferably concentrated sulfuric acid or sulfonic acids) at 100-150 deg.C to afford the aimed compounds expressed by formula III. Various alkoxy groups can be readily introduced into the 3-position by the above-mentioned method. The titled substances are important synthetic raw materials for 1H-pyrazolo[1,5-b]-1,2,4 triazoles useful as silver salt color photographic couplers, etc., or medicines.
