。[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in the conventional spindle cooling structure described above, since the housing is cooled, the outer ring of the rolling bearing fitted in the housing is also cooled. There is a problem that the temperature difference between the inner and outer rings of this rolling bearing becomes larger, leading to an increase in preload, which is contradictory to higher speeds, and even if the housing is cooled, the main spindle is only indirectly cooled. Therefore, there was a problem in that the cooling efficiency against thermal displacement decreased.

。Therefore, in this state, when a predetermined cutting tool is mounted on the tool mounting portion 12 of the main shaft spindle 2 and driven to rotate at high speed, frictional heat is generated at the bearings 3 and 4 position or at the cutting tool position depending on the rotation. This is transmitted to the main spindle 2. However, since the main spindle 2 is cooled via the spacer 13 as described above, it is possible to reliably prevent the temperature of the main spindle 2 itself from rising.

, 4 side, and prevents the coolant from being mixed into the air as a lubricant supplied to the bearings 3 and 4, resulting in poor lubrication of the bearings 3 and 4. Can be done. Moreover, since the coolant supplied to the coolant passage 5 is sucked by the pump 29 on the outlet side, rather than being pumped, the amount of coolant leaking can be reduced, and the air seal portion 18.19 Combined with the sealing effect, leakage of coolant can be more reliably prevented.

Moreover, the spindle can be directly cooled, and the cooling effect of the spindle can be greatly improved. Therefore, deterioration of dimensional accuracy due to thermal displacement of the spindle can be reliably prevented, and the temperature difference between the inner and outer rings of the rolling bearing can be reduced to prevent an increase in preload (smooth rotation can be maintained). In addition, since air seals are formed on both sides of the coolant passage, it is possible to reliably prevent the coolant supplied to the coolant passage from leaking, thereby preventing the lubrication of bearings, etc. adjacent to the coolant passage. Effects such as being able to reliably prevent defects from occurring can be obtained.
