The present invention relates to flame retardant resin compositions. Thermoplastic resins such as thermoplastic polyester resins, polycarbonate resins, and polyamide resins have good heat resistance and high processing temperatures, and are therefore used in large quantities as engineering plastics in electronic parts. Recently, the demand for flame retardancy for these engineering plastics has increased significantly. In Japanese Patent Publication No. 52-7470, divalent phenol,
A method for producing flame-retardant polyarylene esters from aromatic dicarboxylic acid chlorides and halogenated phenols is described, the polyarylene esters having no mechanical strength comprising (a) polybutylene terephthalate and glass fibers, (b) polycarbonate and It has been proposed that barium carbonate, (c)ABS, and antimony oxide be blended into a blended polymer to make it flame retardant. However, although these blend polymers are satisfactory in terms of flame retardancy, their mechanical strength is very poor, and when molded products made from these blend polymers are kept at high temperatures, the flame-retardant polyarylene ester bleeds out. There are some drawbacks to this. It is an object of the present invention to provide a flame-retardant resin composition that solves these drawbacks. According to the present invention, there is provided a polyester compound obtained by polycondensing a dihydric phenol described below and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid halide using phenols, thiophenols, or anilines described later as a molecular weight regulator. , ηsp/C (phenol:chloroform=1:1) is 0.1 to 0.25, and a flame-retardant resin composition is provided, which is prepared by blending the polyester compound with a thermoplastic resin. The dihydric phenol which is a raw material for the polyester compound to be blended according to the present invention is a dihydric phenol obtained by reacting a compound having the following general formula with phosgene in advance to form carbonate. In the above general formula, the symbols have the following meanings. A is -SO2- , -CO-, -O-, C1 - C4 alkylene chain, or

Octylthiophenol, dibromthiophenol, tribromthiophenol, aniline, monochloroaniline, dichloroaniline, trichloroaniline, monobromaniline, dibromaniline, tribromaniline, sodium phenolsulfonate, potassium cresolsulfonate and their Mixtures may be mentioned. Thermoplastic resins used in the present invention are engineering plastics such as thermoplastic polyester resins, polycarbonate resins, and polyamide resins. Among these, thermoplastic polyester resins include polyester resins consisting of dicarboxylic acid components and diol components, or polyester resins consisting of oxycarboxylic acid components and ethylene glycol or butylene glycol components, and especially polyester resins consisting of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol or butylene glycol. Alkylene terephthalates are preferred. Further, a polymer obtained by copolymerizing the above polyester resin with a third component, or a polyester resin composed of a dicarboxylic acid component and a diol component other than those mentioned above may be used. Polycarbonate resins are obtained by reacting dihydric phenols with phosgene, and polyamide resins are obtained by condensation polymerization of diamines and dicarboxylic acids or ring-opening polymerization of lactams. The polyester compound of the present invention is obtained by reacting the dihydric phenol of the general formula () with an aromatic dicarboxylic acid halide using the above-mentioned phenols, thiophenols or anilines as a molecular weight regulator. The molecular weight modifier can be added before (addition to the dihydric phenol), during or after the reaction between the dihydric phenol and the aromatic dicarboxylic acid halide. Any method can be used for the polymerization, but the interfacial polymerization method is used, in which dihydric phenol is dissolved as a phenolate in an alkaline aqueous solution, and aromatic dicarboxylic acid chloride dissolved in an organic solvent is added thereto to perform a condensation polymerization reaction. The preferred method is to do so. The reaction solution preferably contains an amphoteric surfactant alone or a mixture of it and quaternary ammonium hydroxide (preferably a 1:1 mixing ratio) in an amount of 0.1 to 10% by weight based on the dihydric phenol. Examples of amphoteric surfactants that can be used include:

第1表に示す。[Formula] (wherein, R is C 8 -C 22 alkyl, R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are C 1
-C22 alkyl), betaine type amphoteric surfactants,
For example, lauryldimethylammonium betaine is mentioned. Examples of the quaternary ammonium hydroxide that can be used include lauryltrimethylammonium hydroxide, tetramethylammonium hydroxide, tetraethylammonium hydroxide, octyltrimethylammonium hydroxide, distearyldimethylammonium hydroxide, lauryltrimethylammonium hydroxide, and tributyl. Examples include methylammonium hydroxide. The presence of these amphoteric surfactants alone or a mixture of them and quaternary ammonium hydroxide in the reaction solution ensures sufficient contact between the phenolate of dihydric phenol and the aromatic dicarboxylic acid halide in the reaction system. This process improves the dispersion of the resulting polyester compound,
Since less unreacted substances are included, it becomes easier to obtain a polyester compound in high yield. In the present invention, the polyester compound obtained in this way has its ηsp/C (phenol:
Chloroform = 1:1) is 0.1 to 0.25, preferably the softening point (measured by DTA, the same hereinafter)
It is important that the temperature is 255℃ or higher. Outside this range, although the flame retardance is satisfactory, mechanical properties such as tensile strength and bending strength deteriorate, and bleed-out occurs. The flame-retardant resin composition of the present invention is obtained by blending the above polyester compound with a thermoplastic resin, and kneading both components with a roll or the like at a processing temperature. The blending ratio is generally 1 to 200 parts of polyester compound to 100 parts by weight of thermoplastic resin.
parts by weight, preferably 5 to 100 parts by weight.
The flame retardant resin composition of the present invention also uses antimony oxide, molybdenum oxide, barium metasilicate, titanium phosphate, zinc metaborate, melamine, and those coated on the surface of inorganic powder as flame retardant aids. You can also do that. In this case, 1 to 100 parts by weight, preferably 2 to 50 parts by weight of the flame retardant aid is added to 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin. In addition, it goes without saying that well-known fillers, dispersants, stabilizers, pigments and other additives may be included. As described above, the flame-retardant resin composition of the present invention has (1) excellent flame retardancy. (2) No bleed-out of the polyester compound, which is a flame retardant, is observed. (3) Excellent weather resistance and heat resistance. (4) Excellent mechanical properties. It has the following features. Example 1 Into 10 separable flasks, 2,3-bis(4
