手段から供給された記録紙にトナー像を転写する
転写手段と、記録紙上のトナー像を定着する定着
手段と、定着後の記録紙を装置本体外部に排出す
る排紙手段とが具備されている画像記録装置にお
いて、 少なくとも転写手段は潜像担持体の上側に対向
配置され、装置本体は給紙手段から排紙手段まで
の搬送路全域に沿つて上部ユニツトと下部ユニツ
トに分割され、上部ユニツトには少なくとも転写
手段を含み、下部ユニツトには少なくとも潜像担
持体を含み、排紙手段の上方付近に設けられた支
軸を中心に、上部ユニツトが下部ユニツトに対し
て揺動可能に装着されている事を特徴とする画像
