光ディスクを収納したディスクカートリッジと等しい外
形を有し、光ディスク装置に対して着脱可能である。カ
ー１− ＩＪッジケース１はその両面に、開口２，３を
備えている。開口２は、カートリッジケースｌを光ディ
スク装置に装着した時に光ディスク装置の駆動装置が押
入される位置に設けられている。また、開口３は、光デ
ィスク装置の光学ヘッドに対向する位置に設けられてい
る。更に、カートリッジケース１は内面に、開口２を取
り囲む環状突起４、それに近接した同心状の円弧状突起
５及び開口３をはさむ関係で配置された円弧状突起６を
備えている。７は、カートリッジケース１内に収容され
たクリーナーブラシで１、第４図に示すように、中央の
環状部８と、それに連結されたブラシ部９及び操作用レ
バーｌＯとからなる。ブラシ部９にはその両面に、無敗
の柔らかい毛、繊維等が植えけけられている。クリーナ

バー１０を手で左右に数回動かす。これによシ、第５図
に示すように、光学ヘッドの対物レンズ１１上を、クリ
ーナーブラシ７のブラシ部９が移動し、清掃液を含ませ
たブラシ部９で対物レンズ１１を清掃する。次に、クリ
ーニングカートリッジを裏返しにして、再度光ディスク
装置に装着し、操作用レバー１０を手で動かすことによ
り、裏側のブラシ部９（乾拭き用）で対物レンズの汚れ

を取り外すことなく、光学ヘッドを良好にクリーニング

発明の効果

たクリーニングカートリッジであるので、このクリーニ
ングカートリッジをディスクカートリッジの代わシに、
光ディスク装置に装着し、その操作用レバーを手で左右
に動かすことにより、ブラシ部で対物レンズを清掃する
ことができ、光ディスク装置の筐体カバー等の解体作業
が不要となり、手軽に光ディスク装置の対物レンズを手
