Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は液晶表示装置に関する。
（従来の技術〕 従来の液晶表示装置は、第２図に示すように、液晶駆動
用ＬＳＩ等の電子部品１が取付けられるプリント基板２
同志はフラットケーブル３を介し、プリント基板２と液
晶表示索子４とはフィルムコネクタ５を介し、プリント
基板２と外部電源とはインターフェイス用フレキシブル
プリンテイツドサーキット（ＦＰＣ）６を介し、それぞ
れの部品を半田付は及び熱硬化型コネクタにより接続し
ている。
なお、この種の液晶表示装置として、例えば実開昭６２
−１２１２８号公報が知られている。
〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
上記従来技術は、複数のプリント基板２、複数のフラッ
トケーブル３、複数のフィルムコネクタ５及びインター
フェイス用ＦＰＣ６等のように非常に多くの部品からな
り、また各部品の接続作業工数が増大するので、コスト
高になると共に、接続信頼性が低下するという問題があ
った。
本発明の目的は、部品点数の大幅な削減が図れ、これに
よって接続作業工数の低減及び接続信頼性の向上が図れ
る液晶表示装置を提供することにある。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
上記目的は、プリント基板部分、フラットケーブル部分
、フィルムコネクタ部分及びインターフェイス用ＦＰＣ
部分を全て一体化したフレキシブルプリンティッドサー
キットＦＰＣで形成することにより達成される。
［作用〕 複数の部品が１個のフレキシブルプリンティッドサーキ
ットＦＰＣよりなるので、各部品の接続が不要となり、
大幅なコストダウンが図れると共に、接続信頼性につい
ても問題がなくなる。
〔実施例〕
以下、本発明の一実施例を第２図を参照しながら第１図
により説明する。第２図に示すプリント基板２部分、フ
ラットケーブル３部分、フィルムコネクタ５部分及びイ
ンターフェイス用ＦＰＣ６部分は、第１図に示すように
全て一体化したフレキシブルプリンティッドサーキット
（ＦＰＣ）７で形成してなる。
このように一体化したＦＰＣニアよりなるので、接続は
ＦＰＣ７への電子部品１の接続、液晶表示素子４へのＦ
ＰＣ７の接続のみでよく、第２図に示すプリント基板２
とフラットケーブル３の接続、プリント基板２とフィル
ムコネクタ５の接続、プリント基板２とインターフェイ
ス用ＦＰＣ６の接続が不要となる。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明によれば、プリント基板部分、ＰＣジョイナ一部
分、フィルムコネクタ部分及びインターフェイス用ＦＰ
Ｃ部分が一体化したＦＰＣよりなるので、部品点数及び
接続作業工数が大幅に低減し、コストダウンが図れると
共に、接続信頼性が向上する。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １、電子部品が取付けられるプリント基板部分。 プリント基板部分同志を接続するフラットケーブル部分
    、プリント基板部分と液晶表示素子とを接続するフィル
    ムコネクタ部分及びプリント基板部分と外部電源とを接
    続するインターフェイス用フレキシブルプリンティッド
    サーキット部分を、全て一体化したフレキシブルプリン
    ティッドサーキットで形成したことを特徴とする液晶表
    示装置。
