As shown in the publication, in order to achieve automatic assembly of the car body and the automatic assembly of nine functional interior parts, the car body is divided into each body component part, and each body structure is manufactured on a separate line. It is known that the so-called modularization of vehicle bodies is a method in which interior parts and functional parts are made of silk and then joined and integrated into one body.

Part 9 Functional parts are made of silk, and interior parts such as trim members and other auxiliary parts are repaired on the left and right body side assemblies, and interior parts 1 such as trim members and combination lamp units are installed on the rear end assembly. It is conceivable that after the functional parts are made of silk, these floor assemblies, left and right body side assemblies, and rear end assemblies are connected. However, the joints between the floor assembly and the body side assembly and the joints between the floor assembly and the rear end assembly tend to lack sealing performance compared to a monocoque type vehicle body structure.

It is possible to prevent seal breakage from the joint parts between the rear end assembly and the rear end assembly, and the joint parts between the floor assembly and the body side assembly, thereby improving the sealing performance of these joint parts. Moreover, since the flanges that connect the rear end assembly and the body side assembly are formed in the same direction above, the mold cost for molding the rear floor panel is reduced compared to the case where the flanges are formed in two directions, upward and downward. It has novel effects such as being able to be made cheaper.
