In the case of conventional defroster ducts that blow warm air onto the windshield (panel) to clear the fog,
The structure is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. That is, one end of the defroster duct 3 piped inside the instrument panel 1 is communicated with an air outlet 5 provided on the upper surface of the instrument panel 1, and the other end is communicated with a heater unit 9 having a defroster door 7. When the defroster door 7 is opened, warm air is blown onto the front window 11 to clear the fog. On the other hand, when the air conditioner is in use, a ventilator outlet 13 and a ventilator duct 15 communicating with the outlet 13 are provided in the heater unit 9 separately from the defroster duct 3 for blowing cool air backward after cooling down. In the figure, 50 is an outside air intake, 52 is a blower motor, 54 is an evaporator, 59 is a duct for the side bench 57, 60 is a darts panel, 62 is a floor panel, and 64 is a floor tunnel section. Until now, such a configuration required separate dedicated ducts and air outlets each having a ventilator and defroster function, resulting in a complex structure and increased costs. (Refer to Utility Model Application Publication No. 57-57106) Therefore, the present invention has developed a defroster duct for a new air conditioner equipped with a defroster function that blows warm air toward the window side and a ventilator function that blows cool air toward the rear passenger compartment. The purpose is to provide the following.

In FIG. 3, reference numeral 1 denotes an instrument panel, and on the upper panel surface 1a there are a main air outlet 17 near the front window 11 side and the air outlet 17.
A sub-air outlet 19 is provided in parallel at the rear of the
Two air outlets 17 and 19 are arranged along the vehicle width direction so as to be juxtaposed in the front and rear. As shown in the figure, the main air outlet 17 and the sub air outlet 19 of this embodiment are constructed by fixing a defroster grille 21 connected to a duct 3 disposed along the vehicle width direction to the instrument panel 1, and attaching the defroster grille 21 to the instrument panel 1. A partition plate 23 is inserted into an open opening provided in 21 to divide it into front and rear parts, and the front part is formed as a main outlet 17 and the rear part is formed as a sub outlet 19. Main air outlet 17
includes a guide portion 25 having an radius through which the blown air is guided from above to the rear when the sub-air outlet 19 is closed;
is provided. The guide part 25 has a Coanda effect in which when the sub-air outlet 19 is closed and the main air is blown upward, a negative pressure is created at the edge of the air outlet 17 so that the flow is directed toward the negative pressure side. (Refer to Utility Model Publication No. 57-17241), and in this embodiment, it is formed in a rounded shape on the upper edge of the partition plate 23 behind the main air outlet 17. This creates a negative pressure on the side of the sub outlet 19.

As described above, the main and sub air outlets 17 and 19 are connected to the duct 3 arranged along the vehicle width direction inside the instrument panel 1. The air outlet 1
By extending the partition plate 23 that separates the air outlet 7 and 19 into the front and back, the first
An induction chamber 29 and a second induction chamber 31 communicating with the sub-air outlet 19 are formed. Below the first and second induction chambers 29 and 31 is a connection path 3 of a heater unit 33 connected to the bottom surface of the duct 3 at a central position.
It's becoming 5. Second induction chamber 31 and connection path 35
An on-off valve 37 and a defroster door 39 are provided. The defroster door 39 is connected to a hand control lever (not shown) provided on the passenger side of the instrument panel 1, and controls switching between introducing and blocking air into the duct by operating the control lever. On the other hand, the on-off valve 37 is connected in series to the power source P via an air conditioner switch 43, which turns on and off the vacuum actuator 70, solenoid valve 41, and compressor, and activates and deactivates the cooling unit, as shown in FIG. Air conditioner switch 4
3 is turned OFF, the on-off valve 37 is switched to open so as to supply air to the second induction chamber 31 of the duct 3.

Therefore, when the on-off valve 37 is opened, the air in the heater unit 33 enters both the first induction chamber 29 and the second induction chamber 31 from the connection path 35 and is directed upward through the main and sub outlets 17 and 19. The air blows out and functions as a defroster to clear the fog from the front window 11. Also, when the air conditioner switch 43 is turned on, the on-off valve 3
7 to close, the sub air outlet 19
The air outlet is closed from the main outlet 1.
7, the air blown out from the main air outlet 17 flows rearward by the guide part 25, functioning as a ventilator that blows cool air backward. As a result, there is no need to use dedicated ducts with each function. Further, as shown in FIG. 7, the solenoid valve 41 may be made to operate in conjunction with the fan switch 45 instead of the front air conditioner switch when the lever 45a is in the HI position.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to achieve both the defroster function of blowing air upward and the ventilator function of blowing air backward, and the need for a conventional duct with a ventilator function can be omitted. This is advantageous in terms of performance and cost.

1. In the defroster duct of an air conditioner, in which the defroster duct is connected to the upper surface of the connection path where the defroster door of the heater unit is installed, the main air outlet and the sub air outlet for blowing air upward are placed in front and back of the defroster duct. It is divided into a first induction chamber and a second induction chamber that send air to the main outlet and a sub outlet with a partition plate in between, and an opening/closing system that opens and closes the sub outlet in the second induction chamber. A valve is installed at the tip of the partition plate to guide the main air outlet so that the air is directed upward and backward when the sub air outlet is closed.
