Orthopedic fixed bandages have a hardening component made of materials such as baked clay, thermoplastic resin, photocurable resin, and water-curable resin, and are made by wrapping a cotton bandage, gauze bandage, etc. around the affected area, and then wrapping a fixed bandage over the affected area. After the fixation bandage is cured, it becomes necessary to partially or completely cut and remove the fixed bandage for treatment of the affected area or because the affected area has healed. The so-called cast cutter conventionally used for this purpose transmits micro-vibration rotation converted from the rotational movement of a motor to a disc-shaped saw with a cutting edge on the periphery, and directs this saw into the inside of the fixed bandage from the front side. It is also widely used to make cuts and gradually move the saw along the bandage. Because this cutter uses an ultra-high-speed micro-vibration rotation system, the cutter itself vibrates violently, and if the operator continues to operate it for a little while, the operator may even lose feeling in his or her hands, and it also generates a highly metallic vibration sound. This is undesirable from a therapeutic point of view, as it makes it impossible for patients to communicate with each other, and in particular, because it appears to the patient that the disk-shaped saw is rotating at high speed, it can cause a tremendous sense of fear for patients, especially young patients. Apart from these points, since this type of cutter must be operated while visually measuring the depth of cut, the operator must use excessive nerves to avoid injuring the patient's body, and the operator must use excessive force to avoid injuring the patient. However, the disadvantage is that it takes a long time to cut. To solve this problem, a guide is installed at a certain distance from the disc-shaped saw, and this guide prevents the saw from coming into contact with the patient's body, or a conductor is inserted inside the fixed bandage. However, methods have been proposed that issue an alarm if the saw cuts too deep and comes into contact with a conductor. However, even if such a method is adopted, as long as a disc-shaped saw blade of an ultra-high-speed micro-vibration rotation type is used, the above-mentioned disadvantages associated therewith cannot be solved at all. In addition, the use of such a saw blade has the disadvantage that a fairly large dust collection device must be added, since the chips generated during cutting are scattered over a wide area.

This purpose, according to the present invention, includes a round rod-shaped rotary blade having a cutting or grinding function on its side surface, and a safety guide that faces the rotary blade and has a tip protruding from the tip of the rotary blade. This is achieved by having an auxiliary blade on the side facing the auxiliary blade, the rotary blade and the auxiliary blade being arranged close to each other, and the rotary blade and the auxiliary blade forming a scissor blade when the rotary blade rotates. .

Providing a safety chip at the tip of the rotary blade is advantageous because even if the tip of the rotary blade should come into contact with the patient, there will be no danger. This safety chip can be made of plastic, for example, and have a round shape with a low surface contact resistance.

In addition, by providing a cutting edge on the tip surface of the rotary blade, it is possible to cut holes not only from the side of the open end of the fixed bandage, but also from the top of the fixed bandage. This is useful for cutting out a portion. In this case, the safety guide will protrude beyond the tip of the rotary blade and become a hindrance, so it is necessary to remove the safety guide or make it possible to flip it upwards, at least for the first drilling or cutting.

In the present invention, the fixed bandage is cut by the cutting or grinding force of the side surface of the rotary blade by applying the side surface of the rotary blade to the side surface of the fixed bandage. Since the auxiliary blades of the guide form scissor blades, they can reliably cut materials that tend to get tangled with the rotating blades, such as cotton bandages that are usually wrapped below fixed bandages.

FIG. 2 shows various examples of rotary blades. The rotary blade 5 in FIG. 2a is a straight round bar with a cutting edge 6 running diagonally on the side surface from the upper end to the lower end, and the rotary blade 5 in FIG. The rotary blade 7 is a round rod having a curved surface concave to the outside from the upper end to the lower end, with a cutting blade 8 diagonally intersecting on the side surface.The rotary blade 9 in FIG. On the other hand, the rotary blade 11 in Fig. 2d is provided with a cutting edge 10 diagonally intersecting the side surface of a round bar having a convex cross section, and the cutting edge diagonally intersecting the side surface of a straight round bar from the upper end to the lower end. 12 and a safety chip 13 at the tip;
The rotary blade 14 in Figure e has a side cutting edge 15 similar to that shown in Figure 2a, but also has a cutting edge 16 on the tip, and the rotary blade 17 in Figure 2f has a cutting edge 15 from the upper end to the lower end. A large number of cutting blades 18 in the form of abrasive grains are installed on the side surface of a straight round bar. The rotary blade has a thickness of, for example, 2 to 10 mm, preferably 3 to 6 mm, and a blade length of 5 to 30 mm.
mm, preferably from 10 to 20 mm, and it is advantageous to use an ultra-hard material made of special steel. Note that various conventionally used cutting or grinding blades can be used as the cutting blades on the side surface and the tip surface.

FIG. 3 shows various examples of safety guides. As shown in FIG. 3A, the typical structure of the safety guide is that it is made of metal or plastic and has an L-shaped cross section.
A supporting portion 20 extends to partially surround the rotary blade 19 to a slightly protruding position at the tip thereof and has a width that is approximately equal to or slightly larger than that of the rotary blade 19, and a support portion 20 that extends approximately at right angles to the supporting portion 20 to partially surround the rotary blade 19. Protective part 2 extending to
1. The support part 20 has an auxiliary blade 22 on its side, and the auxiliary blade 22 and the rotary blade 19 are close to each other so as to form a scissors blade when the rotary blade rotates, as shown in the plan view of FIG. will be placed in the specified position. Figure 3b, Figure 3c, and Figure 3d are different examples of the auxiliary blade provided on the safety guide.
The auxiliary blades 23 and 24 in Fig. 3c are diagonal blades, Fig. 3d
The auxiliary blade 25 is formed into a saw blade.

FIG. 5 shows the state in which the cutter of the present invention is used, in which the tip of the rotary blade 29 is applied to the open end 28 of the fixed bandage 27 wrapped around the surface of the human body 26. At this time, since the protective portion 31 of the safety guide 30 is on the surface side of the human body 26, there is no possibility that the tip of the rotary blade 29 will come into contact with the human body. In this state, when the rotary blade is rotated and moved in the direction of the arrow along the surface of the fixed bandage 27, the fixed bandage 27 is cut.
Further, during this cutting, the cotton bandage 32 and the like wrapped under the fixed bandage are sequentially cut by the scissor blade formed by the rotary blade 29 and the auxiliary blade 37, and do not become entangled with the rotary blade 29.

Since the rotary blade of the cutter according to the present invention is rod-shaped and only rotates, most of the chips generated during cutting are concentrated in an inverted conical area with the cutting part as the apex, so when connecting a dust collector, In this case, a very small dust collector suction port may be provided above the rotary blade, and the capacity of the entire dust collector may be small.
