Since it is determined by the luminous flux capture rate from 3, when trying to obtain a brighter lamp with the same light bulb, the above reaction e.
The A-mirror 11 has to be enlarged, and for this reason, the lamp has to be deep, creating a problem that it is difficult to install it on a vehicle.

The light bulb includes a pair of ellipsoidal reflecting mirrors having a first focal point approximately at , and a second focal point near the reference line, which is a horizontal extension of the filament, and approximately equidistant on the left and right sides. According to the above-described aspect, there is provided a vehicle lamp characterized in that a main reflecting mirror is disposed below the light bulb, and a main reflecting mirror corresponding to the filament position and the second focal point is provided on the back side of the light bulb. This solves the problems of the conventional technology.

A pair of ellipsoidal reflecting mirrors 4a and 4b, which are shared by F, are arranged on the front lower surface side of the light bulb 2. At this time, the second focal points F and F of the ellipsoidal reflecting mirrors 4a and 4b are on the reference line X, which is an extension line of the filament 3 in the horizontal direction, and the ellipsoidal reflecting mirrors 4a and 4b are located on the reference line They are assumed to be equidistant. With this arrangement, the ellipsoidal reflectors 4a and 4b are connected to the filament 3.
virtual images 3a and 3b are focused on their respective second focal points F SF . At this time, by forming, for example, a parabolic cylindrical main reflecting mirror 5 on the back side of the light bulb 2 using the reference line X as an optical reference, a real image of the filament 3 and two virtual images 3a, Reference numeral 3b irradiates light forward using this main reflecting mirror 5. Appropriate light distribution characteristics can be achieved by applying a lens cut 1 to the front lens 6, which is numbered on the front surface side of the light bulb 2 in the irradiation direction. be done.

It may be located at any position in the throat, for example at the center point, but preferably at the farthest end from the position where each ellipsoidal reflector is installed, that is, at the right side of the ellipsoidal reflector 4a. is the first focal point F at the left end to the filament 1. 1, the virtual image 3a will be generated above the reference line X as shown in FIG. If it is a reflective surface, the reflected light will have a property that it will contain almost no component upward from the horizontal, and this type of vehicle lamp will not dazzle oncoming vehicles and can be preferable as a light distribution.

好ましいことが判明している。FIGS. 1 and 2 are examples of a parabolic cylindrical surface with the reference line Since the light beams are parallel and are not affected in the left-right direction, it is easy to obtain light distribution characteristics suitable for a lamp such as an auxiliary headlamp that emphasizes horizontal spread rather than central illuminance. On the other hand, in the vehicle lamp 1A shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the back surface of the filament 3, where the direct light from the filament 3 is most efficiently reflected, is a parabolic object whose focal point is the position of the filament 3. It is formed as a surface 5a, and parabolic cylindrical surfaces 5b are formed at both ends thereof.
, 5C are connected, and by forming the main reflecting mirror 5A in this way, the reference line The second focal point F.2 and F12 are also adjusted.
By doing this, the main reflecting mirror 5A is formed by the paraboloid 5a.
Due to the action of the parabolic cylinder surfaces 5b and 5C directed slightly inward, the light gathering ability in the left and right direction is higher than that shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, and the center of the light distribution becomes even brighter. It has a so-called centered light distribution characteristic, making it suitable for headlights that illuminate the front more brightly. Incidentally, according to the results of experiments conducted by the inventor and the results of simulations using a large-sized computer to accomplish this invention, the width of the paraboloid 5a is 2.
It is preferable that the width be less than 0. If the width is wider than this, the light gathering ability will be excessive and the light will be focused at a short distance, resulting in a decrease in the irradiation distance.
It has been found that when providing the paraboloid 5a, it is preferable in terms of light distribution characteristics to perform a lens cut on the front lens 6 at a position directly facing the paraboloid 5a.

A pair of ellipsoidal reflectors having second focal points at distant positions are disposed below the light bulb, and on the back side of the light bulb, there are mirrors corresponding to the filament position and the second focus. By having a main reflecting mirror, this lamp has three images: a real image formed by light from the upper half of the filament, and two virtual images located approximately equidistant from the filament formed by light from the lower half. As a light source,
- Even if each main reflecting mirror is made small, the overall illuminance does not decrease, and this type of light is thin and has the excellent effect of providing flexibility in mounting it on a vehicle. It is.
