Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably form a uniform film to a necessary area, by arranging a painting applicator roller almost in parallel to the transfer direction of a seamless can and coating the chime part of the seamless can by a roll. CONSTITUTION:A can 1 to be painted is tumbled and transferred by a flat belt 3 equipped with a V-guide and a fixed upper guide 4. An applicator roll 5 extending in a transfer direction is arranged along the transfer path of the can 1 and paint is supplied from a paint pan 7 by a metering roll 6. The trim part of the can 1 is brought into contact with a trim guide 8 and the chime part 2 thereof is brought into contact with the applicator roll 5 to perform the positioning of the can 1 in the direction vertical to the transfer direction and the chime part 2 is painted. Further, by making both ends of the applicator roll 5 tapered, the generation of the scattering mark of the paint caused by the contact of the ends of the applicator roll with the can is prevented.

装置としての機樽は無理がなく、均一な塗膜を安定して
得ることが出来る。その上、ロールの回転方向の選択に
より、塗装装置の耐久性を増し、塗料のだれや不必要部
分への塗料の流れを防止出来る等、顕著な効果を奏する
ものである。
