In vacuum contact printing machines used for printing photographic original plates, the so-called bottom light source type, in which the light source is located below the original plate and photosensitive plate, uses a transparent plate that covers the upper opening of the box-shaped body that houses the light source. The original plate and the photosensitive plate are positioned and mounted, a cover sheet is placed on top of the original plate, and then the original plate and the photosensitive plate are placed in close contact with each other under vacuum. By the way, a sealing member is interposed between the peripheral parts of the transparent plate and the cover sheet, so that a vacuum is created between them, and the original plate and the photosensitive plate are held in close contact between them. It is becoming more and more common.

Conventionally, the sealing member in the vacuum contact printing machine as described above has a symmetrical V-shaped structure on both sides thereof, as indicated by the symbol 1 and the two-dot chain line in FIG.
It has a cross-sectional shape constricted at the center by letter-shaped grooves 1a and 1b, and is mounted on the transparent plate 2 in a frame shape along its periphery. In addition, transparent plate 2
is attached to the upper edge 3a of the box-shaped main body 3 housing the light source (not shown) so as to cover the upper opening. After the flexible cover sheets 6 are stacked one upon another, the space between the transparent plate 2 and the cover sheets 6 is evacuated by a vacuum pump (not shown).

However, in such a conventional vacuum contact printing machine, when the transparent plate 2 itself, which has a smooth surface such as transparent glass, is adhered to the opening upper edge 3a of the main body 3, and when the transparent plate 2 is attached to the upper surface of the transparent plate 2, When adhering the sealing member 1, it is necessary to scratch the adhesion surface of the transparent plate 2 to make it a rough surface, and then apply the adhesive, thus making the adhesion surface of the transparent plate 2 a rough surface. The work is extremely cumbersome and difficult.

Moreover, when the transparent plate 2, the original plate 4, the photosensitive plate 5, and the cover sheet 6 are brought into close contact with each other under vacuum by creating a vacuum state between the transparent plate 2 and the cover sheet 6, the periphery of the transparent plate 2 and the cover sheet 6 Due to the reduced pressure in the space A between them, the peripheral portion of the cover sheet 6 is largely displaced into this space A, and as a result, the sealing member 1 is greatly deformed, as shown by the solid line in FIG. The portion was inclined inward, and the peripheral portion of the cover sheet 6 was greatly lifted upward. For this reason, the original plate 4 and the photosensitive plate 5 positioned on the transparent plate 2 are likely to be shifted together with the cover sheet 6, and their mutual positioning is likely to be disturbed. As a result, there is a possibility that proper printing cannot be performed. It was hot. In addition, there have been various problems such as large deformation of the sealing member 1, which may impede maintenance of the vacuum tight state.

This idea was made in consideration of the above circumstances, and by specifying the shape of the sealing member and attaching a transparent plate to the upper edge of the opening of the main body through this sealing member, it solves the problems of the conventional method described above. This eliminates all problems at once, making it easy to attach the sealing member and transparent plate, avoiding large deformation of the sealing member, accurately positioning the original plate and the photosensitive plate, and ensuring vacuum sealing. An object of the present invention is to provide a vacuum contact printing machine that can reliably maintain the condition.

That is, the sealing member 7 is formed of, for example, a rubber material, and is attached to the upper opening edge 3 of the main body 3.
A is attached in a frame shape along its periphery. In this embodiment, the sealing member 7 is simply adhered to the upper edge 3a of the opening with an adhesive. On the inner circumferential side of the upper part of this sealing member 7, a step-shaped seat portion 7a is formed in the shape of a frame as a whole.
Further, a V-shaped groove 7b is formed on the outer peripheral surface of this seal member 7, and the upper surface of the outer peripheral side thereof is inclined outwardly and upwardly. An elastic piece 7c is formed that extends upward.

A glass transparent plate 2 is fitted into the stepped seat portion 7a of the sealing member 7 from above so as to be positioned in the stepped portion. In this embodiment, the transparent plate 2 is simply and securely positioned and held by its own weight and the elastic adhesion force of the seal member 7 by simply fitting into the seat portion 7a of the seal member 7. .

A positioning mechanism (not shown) is provided on the transparent plate 2 to accurately position the original plate 4 and the photosensitive plate 5 in a superimposed state. For example, this positioning mechanism is of a pin type, in which an upwardly protruding pin attached to the front side of the transparent plate 2 is fitted into positioning holes in the original plate 4 and the photosensitive plate 5.

In addition, the transparent plate 2 has two parts that pass through it vertically.
Two holes 8 are provided, and a tubular suction fitting 9 projecting downward is fitted into each hole 8. The lower end of this suction fitting 9 is connected to a vacuum pump (not shown), and by sucking air between the upper part of the transparent plate 2 and the cover sheet 6 covered here, the transparent plate 2, the original plate, etc. 4. The photosensitive plate 5 and cover sheet 6 are brought into close contact with each other under vacuum.

By the way, the cover sheet 6 is manually or automatically covered over the transparent plate 2, and is usually wound around a sheet roll, and this sheet roll moves while rotating on the transparent plate 2. As a result, the images are sequentially deferred and developed on the transparent plate 2.

According to such a configuration, when the transparent plate 2, original plate 4, photosensitive plate 5, and cover sheet 6 are vacuum-adhered to each other, they are in a substantially horizontal state as shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. The peripheral portion of the cover sheet 6 is curved upward along the inclined surface on the elastic piece 7c of the seal member 7 as shown by the solid line in the same figure,
Then, it comes into close contact with the upper part of the elastic piece portion 7c.

In this way, the cover sheet 6
Since the peripheral portion of the seal member 7 is smoothly guided and curved, a large deformation force is not applied to the seal member 7, and moreover, the inclined elastic piece portion 7c and the cover sheet 6 can smoothly shift and correspond to the cover sheet 6. The deformation of the elastic piece 7c prevents the cover sheet 6 from being largely displaced with respect to the transparent plate 2.

Therefore, the occurrence of misalignment of the original plate 4 and the photosensitive plate 5 positioned on the transparent plate 2 is prevented, and they are reliably vacuum-adhered while being accurately positioned. Therefore, highly accurate printing can be performed on the photosensitive plate 5.

Note that the sealing member 7 may be attached to the upper opening edge 3a of the main body 3 by any means other than adhesive bonding, such as by using a special fixture. The means for attaching the transparent plate 2 to the seat portion 7a may not only utilize the own weight of the transparent plate 2 itself, but may also use adhesive bonding, special fixing tools, or the like.

As explained above, according to the vacuum contact printing machine according to this invention, the shape of the sealing member can be specified,
Since this sealing member is attached between the upper edge of the opening of the main body and the transparent plate, the sealing member can be easily attached to the upper edge of the opening of the main body by means such as adhesive. , the transparent plate can be easily attached to the seat of the sealing member by using its own weight, and as a result, it is not necessarily necessary to make the smooth mounting surface of the transparent plate a rough surface. First, these sealing members and transparent plates can be installed extremely easily, and the cover sheet can be prevented from shifting during vacuum sealing.
It is possible to prevent relative misalignment between the original plate and the photosensitive plate, thereby achieving effects such as being able to perform highly accurate printing.
