軸方向に沿つて開閉駆動される弁の頭部とシリ
ンダヘツド側に設けた凹部内に嵌合固定される油
圧ラツシユアジヤスタの頭部との間に跨つてロツ
カアームを揺動可能に配置するとともに、該ロツ
カーアームの中間部をカムに当接させ、該カムの
リフト変位を上記油圧ラツシユアジヤスタ側端部
を支点として揺動する上記ロツカーアームを介し
て上記弁に伝達するようにしたエンジンの動弁装
置であつて、上記凹部の底部に大気に開放される
連通口が形成される一方、上記油圧ラツシユアジ
ヤスタの上記凸部への嵌合側端部のしかも上記連
通口に対応する位置には該油圧ラツシユアジヤス
タの上記凹部への嵌合固定状態において上記連通
路を油密的に閉塞するシール材が設けられている
