[Detailed description of the invention] This invention is a hollow columnar structure obtained by winding a group of warp yarns made of reinforcing fiber threads while intersecting the warp yarns as appropriate with the weft yarns, and impregnating and hardening the matrix resin. When manufacturing a hollow columnar composite material molded product, the crushing strength is improved by arranging reinforcing fiber bundles arranged in one direction inside or outside the hollow columnar structure so as to be parallel to the warp threads constituting the hollow column. The present invention relates to a hollow columnar composite material molded product that has a high resistance to bending in the direction of the column axis.

The present invention relates to a hollow columnar composite material molded product obtained from these special structures that has been improved in order to further enhance its properties. That is, hollow pillars made from composite materials using reinforcing fibers, which are currently used for fishing rods, etc., are made by impregnating reinforcing fiber bundles arranged in one direction with a matrix resin to create a pre-plex sheet, and then forming such sheets into hollow pillars. After the fibers were wound and laminated around a possible core so that the fibers were arranged parallel to the column axis, the resin was cured to obtain a hollow columnar article. However, since the reinforcing fibers of such hollow columns are arranged in the axial direction, the resistance in the axial direction is sufficient, but since the fibers are simply arranged and oriented in one direction, In contrast, the strength is only that of the matrix resin, and in terms of reinforcement, it is completely equal to zero. Although such a molded product has excellent bending and tensile strength against the columnar axis, the crushing strength of the columnar object is very inferior to the former. For this reason, during molding, reinforcing fiber sheets, fabrics, etc. of the same or different types are arranged at an angle of, for example, 90° to the columnar axis to exert strength in this direction. This method can improve the crushing strength of a hollow columnar object, but since the sheet or fabric is cut and wrapped around the columnar object, both ends of the fibers are inevitably present around the columnar object. Since the thickness of the pillars tends to be non-uniform and the fibers are oriented discontinuously, the strength utilization rate decreases accordingly.

In order to eliminate the above drawbacks, the crushing strength can be dramatically improved by using a reinforcing structure as shown in Fig. Superiority in strength is imparted by arranging the structure inside or outside, or on both the inside and outside sides. To explain along the drawings, Fig. 1 shows a hollow columnar structure used in the present invention, in which one group of warp yarns made of reinforcing fiber threads arranged in a hollow columnar manner is connected to two weft yarns of the same type. A hollow columnar shape can be obtained by winding the fibers while appropriately interlacing them with the warp threads 1.

When such a structure is impregnated with a matrix resin and cured, a thin, lightweight molded product with extremely high crushing strength and uniform thickness can be obtained. Figure 2 shows that when manufacturing such a molded product, by arranging unidirectional reinforcing fiber bundles parallel to the hollow column axis or at an angle close to it, the axial elasticity and tensile strength of the hollow column can be improved. It shows something that has been given the following characteristics.
That is, in (a), a structure composed of warp threads 1 and weft threads 2 shown in FIG. 1 is impregnated with resin and cured to form a matrix layer 3. A cross section of a molded product in which the reinforcing fiber layer 4 is placed inside the structure so as to be in close contact with the resin layer 3 is shown. In (b), the reinforcing layer 5 is formed by closely adhering the unidirectionally arranged reinforcing fiber layer to the outside of the structure. Furthermore, (c) shows such a layer formed so as to exist simultaneously in the interior 4 and exterior 5. In either case, it can be seen that the reinforcing properties in the axial and other directions are excellent, and the columnar material has a uniform thickness.
