Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely prevent meandering and cambering of a rolled stock by installing side guides which can be adjusted in size between an H mill and edger. CONSTITUTION:The side guides 4a, 4b are so provided between the H mill 1 and the edger 2 as to sandwich both transverse ends of the thickly segregated part 3. A driving shaft 7 is driven by a motor 8 via a connecting shaft 9 and screw nuts 5a, 5b screwed to threaded parts 6a, 6b are moved by which the side guides 4a, 4b can be attached to and detached from each other in the case of changing the width of the side guides 4a, 4b according to the change of the width of the rolled stock 3.
