The hour and minute hands are completed by plating and painting the diamond-cut needle bodies.

た。 For this reason, it is troublesome to attach the pressed needle body to the diamond cutting jig, and furthermore, since the attachment condition tends to be uneven, deformation and scratches of the needle are likely to occur after surface processing such as diamond cutting. It was difficult to create a stable guideline.

Reducing the thickness of the dial as much as possible has become an important issue.

Thereafter, the surface is subjected to surface finishing such as diamond cutting and honing, and masking is applied, and then press processing is performed to cut out the outline of the pointer.

(Fig. 1) The hole 2 fits into the pointer shaft of the movement, and the accuracy of the hole 2 is the same as that of the conventional one. The pilot hole 3 is used for positioning during post-processing, and is used in conventional continuous press processing. Figure 2 is - of Figure 1.
A line cross section is shown, and the hole 2 is bent downward.

This masking prevents scratches, dust, etc. from adhering to the finished surface, and prevents dents from being made to the finished surface during the step of cutting out the outer shape of the pointer, which will be described later. Therefore, masking can also be performed with adhesive tape, adhesive paper, etc. in addition to lacquer.

(Figures 4 and 5) Finally, the lacquer on the surface of the pointer is removed with a solvent such as thinner or acetone, and the surface is then coated with a coating such as plating or painting. ことができる。 As described above, since the present invention has the above configuration, the pointer can be manufactured stably and easily. Furthermore, since the step of cutting out the outer shape of the pointer is not performed before the surface finishing step, the thickness of the pointer can be made thinner, and the cut surface does not vibrate or become distorted as in the conventional case. In addition, since masking treatment is performed after the surface finishing step, scratches, dust, etc. do not adhere to the finished surface during the process, especially during the outline cutting step using a press, so that the appearance quality and yield can be improved.
