Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a roller bearing which is lightweight, highly lubricatable, quiet and durable against a high speed operation, by coupling a wear-resistant synthetic resin roller with a holder made of self-lubricating materials which are worn easier than the material of the roller. CONSTITUTION:Between synthetic resin outer and inner races 1, 2 is disposed a holder 4 and a ball 3 which are made of synthetic wear-resistant materials such as, for example, polyamide containing self-lubricant materials such as, for example, PTEF resin, molybdenum disulfide, carbon or the like, and therefore, are protected therebetween. In this arrangements, the material of the holder 4 is of a self-lubricating type, softer and easier in abrasion, than that of the ball 3, and is composed of PTEF resin containing 20 to 30% of glass fibers and 5 to 10% molybdenum sulfide, etc. Accordingly, materials ground off due to sliding abrasion between the holder 4 and the ball 3 forms lubricant films on all sections, and therefore, the thus obtained bearing is lightweight, highly lubricatable, quiet and usable in a high speed operation, and has a long life.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] <Industrial Application Field> The present invention provides a self-lubricating rolling bearing suitable for use in places where environmental pollution should be avoided, such as a tenter clip bearing for a plastic film stretching device. It is also known to embed metal reinforcing pieces in the inner ring, outer ring, or rolling element in order to compensate for the lack of strength of the synthetic resin (for example, see Japanese Patent Publication No. 37-7255). These rolling bearings utilize the lubricity of synthetic resin, and are generally non-lubricated bearings that do not use lubricants such as grease, so it is necessary to avoid environmental pollution caused by grease evaporation. It is often used where there is.

However, in this type of rolling bearing, when the rolling elements come into contact with the cage, the rolling elements wear out in a short time due to sliding friction due to the hardness difference between the two, so this type of rolling bearing is a so-called full ball, roller type bearing without a cage. Only those that have been put into practical use. In this way, since there is no cage, friction between the rolling elements is unavoidable, and when used at high speeds, the bearing torque increases, heat generation occurs, and there is a possibility of seizure. It could not be used as a bearing.

<Structure of the Invention> In order to achieve the above object, the rolling bearing of the present invention includes rolling elements made of synthetic resin having wear resistance, and a retainer that holds the rolling elements at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction. It is characterized by being made of a material that is more wear-resistant than the material of the rolling elements and has self-lubricating properties.

<Function of the Invention> Kitaki Mizosei discovered that during rotation, the cage and rolling elements come into contact and the cage is scraped, and a self-lubricating material is transferred to the rolling elements, and then on the raceway surfaces of both the inner and outer rings. As a result, a lubricating film is formed on the surfaces of the rolling elements and raceways, providing a smoothing effect. Here, the rolling elements are made of abrasion-resistant synthetic resin, but the cage is made of a material that is more easily worn than the rolling elements, so the wear of the rolling elements is extremely small. Furthermore, since a cage is used, there is no contact between the rolling elements and high speed rotation is possible. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a self-lubricating rolling bearing that has a long life and can withstand high-speed rotation.

In FIG. 1, 1 is an outer ring formed in a ring shape and has a raceway surface 1a on its inner peripheral surface; 2 is an inner ring that is formed in a ring shape with a smaller diameter than the outer ring 1 and has a raceway surface 2a on its outer peripheral surface; 3
, 3... are balls interposed between the raceway surface 1a of the outer ring 1 and the raceway surface 2a of the inner ring 2 as rolling elements, and 4 are the balls 3° 3... arranged at a predetermined interval in the circumferential direction. It is a retainer that is held open. The outer ring 1 and the inner ring 2 are made of a metal material or a synthetic resin, and are made of high-speed tool steel, for example. The ball 3 is made of a synthetic resin having wear resistance, such as polyimide resin such as aromatic polyimide, polyaminohismaleimide, polyamideimide, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyether sulfone (PES), etc. It is made by molding several types of heat-resistant and wear-resistant materials such as polyether resins or polyester resins such as polyoxobenzoyl. The materials include those mixed with self-lubricating materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene resin (hereinafter referred to as PTFE resin), molybdenum disulfide, and carbon. Furthermore, the retainer 4 is made of a material that is softer than the balls 3, wears more easily, and has self-lubricating properties. It is made by molding a material to which molybdenum disulfide has been added.

Since the material of the cage 4 is softer than the material of the cage 4, the cage 4 is scraped little by little by the sliding friction with the balls 3
The material transfers to the surface 3a of the balls 3.3, and further transfers to the raceway surface 1a of the outer ring 1 and the raceway surface 2a of the inner ring 2 during rotation, and PTFE resin and disulfide are deposited on those surfaces. A lubricating film containing molybdenum is formed. The formation of this lubricant film starts from the initial rotation when the bearing starts to be used, and once the lubricant film is formed, the amount of scraping of the retainer 4 due to its lubricating force is reduced, and the wear of the retainer 4 is extremely small. It becomes a state of steady rotation. Also, ball 3.3... is

In this way, lubricant is supplied from the cage 4 and self-lubrication is performed, and since each ball 3.3... is held by the cage 4 and does not come into contact with each other, even during high speed rotation , 3... can withstand high-speed rotation without causing problems such as an increase in bearing torque, heat generation, or seizure due to contact. Also, unlike bearings that use normal grease, there is no risk of environmental pollution caused by evaporation or scattering of grease. Therefore, it is suitable for use as tenter clip bearings in plastic film stretching equipment, which are used under high temperature and high speed conditions and must avoid environmental pollution. However, a rolling bearing suitable for various applications involving high-speed rotation can be obtained.

Therefore, it has all the general features of synthetic resin rolling bearings, such as being lightweight, excellent in chemical resistance, lubricity, and quietness, and the cage holds the rolling elements, allowing them to come into close contact with each other. Therefore, it is possible to easily obtain a rolling bearing that can withstand high-speed rotation, has little wear on the rolling elements, and has a long life.
