Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the case of a timepiece to be made waterproof and thin and reduced in size by rigidly joining raw materials, such as sapphire, glass, noble stone and the like, to one another by soldering. CONSTITUTION:A 0.2-1mu thick gaseous phase plating layer 6 is formed by sputtering (e.g., Cr, Au) or the like on the joining surface of a cover glass 1 made of, for example, sapphire and a 0.5-10mu thick wet plating layer 7 is formed on the surface of the layer 6 by electroless plating (e.g., Ni, Au) or electrolytic plating (e.g., Au). A liquid solder is printed on the surface of the layer 7 by screen printing. Also on the joining surface of a noble stone drum 2, the gaseous phase plating layer 6 and the wet plating layer 7 are processed in the same methods. Then, the cover glass 1 and the drum 2 are rigidly joined together through soldering by pressing the cover glass 1 placed on the joining surface of the drum 2 and heating them, for example, at 250-300 deg.C for 5-15min. Thus, raw materials, such as sapphire, glass, noble stone and the like, can be rigidly joined to one another by soldering to enable the case of a timepiece to be made waterproof and thin and reduced in size.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has a structure in which the cover glass, the case, and the back cover are made of a nonconducting inorganic material such as sapphire, glass, precious stones, ceramics, etc., and the cover glass, the case, and the back cover set screw. The metal screw bush and the body, and the winding stem pipe and the body are fixed by soldering, and all or part of the solder joint surface of the nonconducting inorganic material is wet-plated on a vapor phase plating layer as a base before soldering. It is characterized by having layers.

FIG. 1 is a sectional view of a precious stone timepiece that is an embodiment of the present invention. 1 is a cover glass made of sapphire, 2 is for precious stones, 6 is a sapphire back cover, 4 is a metal screw bushing, 5 is a central cover fixing screw, 8 is solder, 15 is a middle frame, 16 is a packing, 17 is a module, and 18 is a Each dial is shown. Since the cover glass 1 made of sapphire, the metal screw tube 4, and the precious stone 2 are firmly bonded by solder 8, the metal inner shell 16 that was conventionally used on the side is no longer necessary. It has a thinner wire and thinner structure.

In addition, the cover glass 1 made of sapphire and the precious stone 2 are soldered together to ensure airtightness, so when the sapphire back cover 6 is tightened with the female locking screw 5 and pushed up, the cover glass 16
is compressed to create an airtight and waterproof structure. FIG. 2 is a sectional view of a main part of a solder joint between a precious stone cover glass and a cover glass made of sapphire. 6 is a vapor phase plating layer, 7 is a wet plating layer, and 8 is solder. Spackling (CR, A) is placed on the bonding surface of the cover glass 1 made of sapphire.
A vapor phase plating layer of 02 to 1μt is formed using Ni, etc.), and electroless plating (Ni,
Au, etc), or electrolytic plating (Au, P
d/N i, etc), 05~lOμt
A wet coating layer 7 is formed. Liquid solder is printed on the upper surface of the wet plating layer 7 by screen printing. Further, a vapor phase plating layer 6 and a wet plating layer 7 are applied to the joint surface of the precious stone 2 in the same manner as the cover glass 1. Next, the cover glass 1 made of sapphire is placed on the joint surface of the precious stone 2, pressurized, and heated at 250 to 300°C for 5 to 15 minutes, so that the cover glass 1 and the precious stone 2 are firmly bonded.
No Noda is joined. FIG. 3 is a sectional view of the main part of the joint between the precious stone and the metal screw. The inner surface of the metal screw fitting hole 2 for precious stones is treated with a vapor phase plating layer 6 and a wet plating layer 7 in the same manner as the cover glass 1.

Although not shown, the metal screw bushing 4 is plated with P d -Ni electrolytic plating of 2 μt in order to direct the wetting of the solder 8 . Insert a temporary screw into the metal screw bushing 4, apply liquid solder to the outer periphery of the metal screw bushing 4, insert the metal screw bushing 4 into the metal bushing fitting hole of 2 for precious stones, and heat at 250 to 300°C for 5 to 15 minutes. By heating for a minute, the metal threaded bush 4 and the precious stone 2 are firmly bonded. Further, the winding stem pipe of the crown portion is also soldered to the pipe hole for precious stones 2 in the same manner as the metal screw bushing 4. As a result of incorporating the module 17 into the precious stone watch completed in this example and carrying out shipping inspections such as a waterproof test and an impact test, the watch fully satisfies various functions as a waterproof watch. Furthermore, when used for the case back, the case back can be made thinner due to its excellent pressure resistance, making it possible to make the case back thinner and to manufacture watches made entirely of precious stones.

Furthermore, according to this embodiment, mass production of the sapphire side, glass side, and ceramic side is also possible. The reason why two layers consisting of a vapor phase plating layer and a wet plating layer are formed on the bonding surface between nonconducting inorganic materials is to improve the appearance quality of the solder bonding cap and the bonding surface.
