に供給する。フオーミングロール4では成形用ロ
ール6を多数設けてあり、上記の金属薄板2を
徐々にU字状に彎曲させて行く。この場合金属薄
板2が平坦な状態からU字状に彎曲させられる途
中において、金属薄板2の中央部7より両側縁部
8の方が伸びるが、ロールフオーミング以前にす
でにエンボス加工が行われているため両側縁部8
の伸びをエンボスが吸収し、ロールフオーミング
後においても両側縁部8にひだが生じないもので
ある。U字状に彎曲された金属薄板2はインサー
ト金型9内に入り、合成樹脂層3内にインサート
される。この場合金属薄板2の両側縁部8にひだ
を生じていないためインサート後の軒樋Aに変形
を生ずることがないものである。インサート金型
9より引き出された軒樋Aはサイジングマシン1
0にて冷却整形される。サイジングマシン10の
後にはダブルコンベアにて構成された引取機11
を配置してあり、サイジングマシン10より軒樋
Aを引出している。引取機11を通過すると軒樋
Aは所定の長さに次々と切断機18にて切断され
て行くようになつている。なおサイジングマシン
10において上型14と下型15には冷却水を通
すための冷却部〔冷却水孔〕16と型内面に開口
する吸気孔17とが設けてあり、吸気孔17を排
気ポンプ(図示せず)に連通させることにより、
上型14と下型15間を通過する軒樋Aを型内面
に密着させ、整形と冷却とを正確且つ迅速に行う
ようにしてある。なお金属薄板2はエンボス加工
してあるため断面係数が向上し、軒樋Aの強化を
はかれると同時に、エンボス内に合成樹脂3が入
り込み、合成樹脂層3の伸びを防止し、軒樋Aの
伸び、曲りを防止できるものである。
