Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove an abnormal feeling and improve operability in the supply of medium by providing a speed controlling means for synchronizing the transfer speed of a transfer means with the supply speed. CONSTITUTION:When a type medium is inserted along a guide plate, speed detecting photosensors 1a, 1b detect the type medium in the order of 1a, 1b. A speed detecting circuit 14 counts the number (n) of pulses generated by an oscillator 18 while the type medium passes between the photosensors 1a, 1b. A speed controlling circuit 15 calculates pulse frequency P to generate and send the pulses of the frequency P to the input of a drive circuit 16.
