Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a paper feeding roller from rotation without being accompanied by paper feeding, by affording an interrupting drivable connection between paper supply and paper feeding rollers interlocked with a vertically movable blanket bed. CONSTITUTION:A reciprocating pivot 22 for pivoting a clutch 21 in one direction at the early period of ascending operation of a blank bed 7 and in the other direction at the early period of descending operation is provided to be interlocked with a cam 23 so that the clutch 21 is turned on and off. Since a paper supply roller 2 is released from drive when the blank bed 7 desends, the blank is never sent out uselessly, even if the end of the next blank contacts the paper supply roller 2. And when the clutch 21 is turned on and off by the reciprocating pivot 22, the clutch 21 is continuously turned on at the early periods of ascent and descent of the blank bed 7 in any positions of the blank bed 7, so that operations are not changed according to the loadage of blank 8, but carried out speedily to improve the through-put of the blank.

1. Prior Art FIG. 8 shows a rotation transmission mechanism between rollers 1 and 2 in a printer device in which paper feed roller 1 and paper feed roller 2 are driven by the same drive source, and the drive source is the paper feed roller 1 side, and is linked so that the paper feed roller 2 rotates in the forward direction when the paper feed roller 1 rotates in the reverse direction, and when the paper feed roller 1 rotates in the normal direction, the paper feed roller 2 is
The structure is such that it does not rotate. Here, 4.5 and 6 are idle gears, and the arrow in the figure indicates the direction of rotation of the paper feed roller 1 when it is reversed. In the figure, 7 is a paper tray, 8 is paper on the paper tray, 9 is a friction pad for paper separation, 10 is a spring that presses the friction pad against the paper feed roller 2, and 11 is a shaft around the paper feed roller 2. The supporting swing arm 12, 13, 14 is a paper guide plate, 15 is a print head, 16 is a platen, and the idle gear 5 is pivoted on a pivot shaft 17 of the swing arm 11.

The reason why the paper feed roller 2 is rotated in the paper feeding direction when the paper feed roller 1 is reversed is that the leading edge of the fed paper is brought into contact with the nip portion of the paper feed roller 1 that is being reversed. This is to correct the skew of the paper, and after the correction, the paper feed roller 1 is rotated in the normal direction to feed the paper in the sub-scanning direction. When the paper feed roller 1 rotates in the forward direction, the paper feed roller 2 is kept in a freely rotating state by the one-way clutch 3, as described above, and all paper feeding is left to the paper feed roller 1.

When such a drive mechanism is adopted, for example, the paper feed roller 1 is reversed to feed the printed paper 8a into the manual paper feed slot 18.
When the paper is fed back to the paper 8b or when the paper is fed backwards in bankbook printing or the like, a problem arises in that the paper feed roller 2 rotates and the next paper 8b is fed. Therefore, a structure is adopted in which after a sheet of paper is fed and nipped by the paper feed roller 1, the paper table 7 is lowered to separate the stacked paper 8 and the paper feed roller 2 until it is necessary to feed a new sheet of paper. has been done.

-Problems to be Solved by the Invention- However, by simply lowering the paper table 7, the leading edge of the loaded paper 8 gets caught on the friction pad 9, especially when the paper 8 is thick paper such as an envelope or postcard. As a result, the next paper 8b may be fed when the paper feed roller 1 is reversed, which may reduce the reliability of the automatic paper feeding device. There wasn't enough sex. In the automatic paper feeding state, the operator is often away from the apparatus, and in such a case, if a l-rub occurs, even if it is rare, there is a risk of causing great confusion in the business process.

Next, the operation of the apparatus configured as described above will be explained. When the desired paper sent out from the paper table 7 is held between the paper feed rollers and the paper table 7 descends from the state shown in FIG. 4, this downward movement is transmitted to the gear 34 via the gears 32 and 33.
The gear 34 rotates in the direction of the arrow in the figure. This rotation is transmitted to the reciprocating rotation shaft 22 by the friction plates 35 and 37, and the reciprocation rotation shaft 22 also rotates, but the rotation continues until the arm 39 formed on the collar 36 collides with the stopper 42. After that, even if the paper table 7 continues to descend further, the friction plate 35.37
The reciprocating rotation shaft 22 does not rotate due to slippage between the two.

When the reciprocating rotation shaft 22 rotates in the direction of the arrow for the fourth time, the seesaw lever 26 that supports the friction pad 9 is rotated in the direction shown by the arrow in FIG. 4, and the friction pad 9 is separated from the paper feed roller 2. . At the same time, the cam 23 is rotated in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 1, the idle gear 5 is moved in the axial direction, and the meshing of the gears 4 and 5 is released. Therefore, as the paper tray 7 descends, the friction pad 9 also moves against the paper feed roller 2 at the initial stage of its descent.
The drive system of the paper feed roller 2 is released, and the paper feed roller 2 is in a freely rotating state.

That is, the coupling and disengagement of the transmission mechanism between the paper feed roller 2 and the paper feed roller 1 are changed at the beginning of the raising/lowering and lowering operations of the paper tray 7, and even if the paper tray 7 is further raised or lowered thereafter, the operation remains unchanged. The initial converted state is maintained. Therefore, regardless of the position of the paper table 7 and the amount of elevation of the paper table 7 due to the amount of paper 8 loaded, the paper feed roller 2 can be driven and released reliably and quickly.

FIG. 7 shows another embodiment of a mechanism for rotating the reciprocating rotation shaft 22 at the beginning of the raising and lowering operations of the paper table 7, in which a sector gear 51 is fixed to the reciprocating rotation shaft 22. ,
Reference numeral 33 is the same gear as 33 in FIG. 4, and reference numeral 52 is a spring that urges the reciprocating rotation shaft 22 in a direction in which the center of the sector gear 51 meshes with the gear 33. In this structure, when the paper table 7 descends, the sector gear rotates to the position indicated by the imaginary line A and disengages from the gear 33, and when the paper table 7 rises, it rotates to the position indicated by the imaginary line A. As a result, the reciprocating rotation shaft 22 rotates only at the beginning of the upward and downward movement of the sheet tray 7. In this structure, instead of meshing the sector gear 51 and the gear 33, a friction transmission system including a sector friction wheel and a friction wheel fixed to the gear 33 may be used.
