DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a novel road block. Conventionally, asphalt pavement was used for sidewalks or roadways.
In addition to concrete pavement, road block pavement is being constructed. However, the conventional pavement described above had the following drawbacks. When a considerable amount of rainfall is recorded in a short period of time, such as during heavy rain, the amount of rainfall is greater than the amount of water that flows into the sewer per unit time and the amount of water that is absorbed into the ground, so the rain does not flow through the sewer. At the same time, the water flowed over roads and gathered in low-lying areas, causing overflow of sewer systems in low-lying areas and even flooding of houses.

The present invention provides a road block for alleviating the above-mentioned disadvantages. That is, the present invention provides a plate block with a water storage hole that penetrates from one side surface to the other side surface or bottom surface of the block, and whose hole shape in a cross section perpendicular to the penetration direction gradually expands downward. This is a road block that is characterized by:

The shape of the road block of the present invention in plan view is not particularly limited, but since a large number of the road blocks of the present invention are used by laying them on the road surface, a shape that allows adjacent road blocks to be combined is preferred. Therefore, a plate-like body whose plan view is square or rectangular is generally used. When the shape of the plan view is a rectangle, it is preferable to make the length of the long side twice the length of the short side because various combinations are possible when laying the sheets on the road surface.

By providing a water storage hole on the side, a portion of rainwater that exceeds the amount of water that can be absorbed into the ground can be temporarily stored in this storage hole, thereby alleviating inconveniences such as sewer overflows and flooding of houses. This is what I am trying to do. Therefore, the water storage hole may have any shape as long as it can temporarily store some of the rainwater.

In the present invention, the most preferred embodiment of the water storage hole is a hole that penetrates from one side of the plate block to the other side or bottom (hereinafter referred to as "through").
In this case, a water storage hole is formed. If the through hole is provided so as to pass through from the upper surface of the road block to the side surface or bottom surface, it is not preferable because the upper surface becomes uneven, making it difficult to pass through.

Further, if the through hole is provided near the upper surface of the road block and the through hole and the upper surface are connected, this is not preferable because the surface of the road block becomes uneven as described above. On the other hand, there is no problem if the through hole is provided near the bottom of the road block and the through hole communicates with the bottom.

The through holes of the present invention may be provided horizontally from one side surface to the other side surface of the road block, or may be provided diagonally through the road block from one side surface to the bottom surface. It is also possible to provide a through hole in the horizontal direction from one side surface of the road block to the other side surface, and further to provide a hole so as to communicate the through hole and the bottom surface. The ground that comes into contact with the bottom of the road block is blocked by the road block and absorbs little rainwater, but by providing the through holes to communicate with the bottom of the road block, the road block It can direct rainwater to the ground located at the bottom. That is, by increasing the amount of rainwater absorbed into the ground, it is possible to reduce the amount of rainwater flowing on the road surface.

Note that in the present invention, a through hole means a through hole whose inner peripheral surface parallel to the passage direction, that is, the penetration direction, is closed in the passage from the entrance to the exit of the through hole. Therefore, for example, a through hole communicating with the bottom surface of a road block is a through hole having an entrance at the side surface of the block and an outlet at the bottom surface. Note that a through hole as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, which will be described later, can be said to be a through hole having inlets on two side surfaces and a common outlet on the bottom surface.

When the through hole of the road block of the present invention is provided near the upper surface of the road block, the impact when passing over the block is applied to the upper surface of the block.
The upper surface of the block becomes easily damaged. Therefore, it is preferable to provide the through hole near the bottom of the road block.

The most important feature of this invention is that in order to prevent the strength of the upper surface of the block from decreasing and to increase the amount of water stored as much as possible, it penetrates from one side of the block to the other side or the bottom, and in the direction of penetration, that is, the direction of the passage. A water storage hole is provided in which the shape of the hole in a vertical cross section is gradually enlarged downward, for example, in the shape of an erect triangle. As mentioned above, the water storage hole in the present invention is a through hole, and in the passage from the inlet to the outlet of the through hole, the inner circumferential surface parallel to the passage direction, that is, the penetrating direction, is closed. For example, if a groove is provided on the bottom surface of the block with a semicircular cross section perpendicular to the path direction of the groove,
It cannot be used as a water storage hole in the present invention.

Generally, the larger the water storage hole is, the more water it can store. However, if the size of the through hole becomes too large, the mechanical strength will decrease, so the size of the through hole may be determined by taking into account the mechanical strength of the road block and the amount of water stored. If the vertical cross section of one through hole is small, a large number of through holes may be provided, and if the vertical cross section is large, the number of through holes may be reduced.

Preferably, the upper surface of the road block of the present invention is provided with a protrusion to prevent slipping during passing. The manner in which the protrusions are provided is not limited in any way; for example, a plurality of hemispherical protrusions may be provided on the upper surface of the road block, or a chevron-shaped portion extending from one end of the road block to the other end may be provided. Examples include a mode in which an appropriate number of them are provided. Since the road block of the present invention is used by laying a large number of blocks on the road surface, it is preferable to provide a concave portion and/or a convex portion around the road block so as to fit into an adjacent road block. By doing so, the construction of the road block can be facilitated, and it is also possible to prevent the constructed road block from peeling off from the road surface.

The road block of the present invention will be explained below with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 shows an example in which a circular through-hole 2 is provided in the side surface of a road block 1 which is a plate-shaped body having a square shape in plan view. Circular through hole 2
is provided near the bottom surface to prevent a decrease in mechanical strength near the top surface. Two parallel protrusions 3 are provided on the upper surface of the road block to prevent slipping when passing. Further, around the road block, protrusions 4 are provided on two side surfaces and recesses 5 are provided on the remaining two sides so as to fit into adjacent road blocks.

As mentioned above, the embodiment shown in Figure 5 can be recognized as two through holes having an inlet on the side surface and a common outlet on the bottom surface, but in this way, the through holes are connected to the bottom surface of the block. When a vertical through hole is formed in a part near the opening, the through hole in the vertical part does not necessarily have an upper or lower direction in the through direction, so in such a part, Even if the condition of the present invention that the hole shape in the cross section perpendicular to the penetration direction is gradually enlarged downward, the present invention can be established as long as the above condition is satisfied in most other parts of the through hole. It is something to do.
