Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a variety of printing on a variety of papers, by providing a paper passage for push-in feeding and a paper passage for traction feeding substantially on a plane surface in the vicinity of a printing part, and pressing a pair of rollers for feeding a slip paper against each other to positively apply a tractive force to a continuous form paper at the time of push-in feeding of the continuous form paper. CONSTITUTION:At the time of feeding a slip paper, a pair of rollers 4 are strongly pressed against each other, while a pair of rollers 5 are weakly pressed to each other. At the time of push-in feeding of a continuous form paper, both the pair of rollers 4 and the pair of rollers 5 are weakly pressed to each other. At the time of traction feeding of the continuous form paper, both the pair of rollers 4 and the pair of rollers 5 are separated from each other. In the traction feeding of the continuous form paper, the line feeding direction for the paper passed through a printing part and a reference side of the paper are opposite to those in the push-in feeding. Therefore, printing information to be supplied to a printing head 2 is switched according to the switching from forward rotation to reverse rotation, or vice versa, of a tractor 6.

3 to 5 show the abutment mechanism of the roller pair 4.5 and the spacing mechanism. In this embodiment, when feeding a cut sheet, the roller pair 4 is strongly pressed and the roller pair 4. 5 is in weak contact with the roller pair 4.5 when pushing and feeding continuous paper.
The structure is such that the pair of rollers 1.5 are brought into weak contact with each other, and are separated from each other when continuous paper is being pulled and fed. In Figures 3 to 5, 21 is a control shaft disposed below the platen 1, 22 is a cam plate fixed to the control shaft 21, and the cam plate has two protruding parts 22a and 22b. has been done. 24 and 25 are inverted arms that pivotally support the driven rollers 4b and 5b at their upper ends; these arms 24.25 are swingably supported by pins 26.27; has a fork 28 and an arm 25

In the condition of FIG. 3, the cam follower 34.35 is spaced apart from the cam plate 22, so that the L-shaped sink 30.31 is biased outwardly by the spring 36.37. This urging force is transmitted to the fork 28 through the pin 32, urging the lower end of the L-shaped arm 24 to open outward, and the driven roller 4b is brought into contact with the driving roller 4a by the urging force of the spring 36. Since the L-shaped arm 25 is only provided with a protrusion 29 at its lower end, it does not engage with the outwardly opening bin 33, and the driven roller 5a simply contacts the driving roller 5b by its own weight. This state is a state in which the cut sheet is fed.

In the state shown in FIG. 4, in which the control shaft 21 is rotated and the cam follower 35 is brought into contact with the lower step 22a of the protrusion, the L-shaped sink 30, 31 swings toward the inside of the coffin, and the bin 32 is rotated. Positioned between the forks 28, the engagement between the L-shaped sink 30 and the arm 24 is released, and the pin 33 still does not come into contact with the protrusion 29, so in this state, the driven rollers 4b and 5b are moved by their own weight to the drive roller 4a. , 5a. This state is the push-feeding state of continuous paper.

That is, when the left side of the paper is used as a reference for tension feeding, the output pattern of the character generator 41 is filled in from the left side of the line memory 43 as it is, and the mark Q? Printing is performed by reading the line memory 43 from left to right while moving the head 2 from left to right, whereas during push-feeding, a pattern that is upside down is filled in the line memory 43 from the left, While running the print head 2 from right to left, the line memory 4
3 is read from left to right and printed. Generally, the print head 2 performs reciprocating printing, and the read state of the line memory 43 when the print head 2 travels in the opposite direction to that described above is as shown by the imaginary line in the figure. That is, the output pattern of the character generator 41 is vertically reversed by the dot inverting circuit 42, and the scanning direction of the print head 2 is further reversed to perform horizontally reversed printing.

-Effects of the Invention- According to the apparatus of the present invention described above, it is possible to perform both the push-feeding process and the pull-feeding process of continuous paper.
Furthermore, it is possible to print on cut-sheet paper, and all the paper paths during these processes can be formed in a substantially straight line, which removes the restrictions on print processing and the paper used in conventional printers, making it extremely easy to use. A printer device capable of performing a wide range of printing processes can be provided. Furthermore, since an additional feeding force is applied to the paper by the pair of rollers disposed in the immediate vicinity of the printing section when the continuous paper is forced to be fed, the line feed accuracy during push-feeding is improved. If the left side of Figure 1 or 8 is the front side of the device, all processes such as 1-inch cutting on printed paper during push-in continuous paper processing, loading operations of cut sheets and pull continuous paper, etc. will be performed on the device. This can be done on the front side of the machine, improving the operability of the device and reducing the operator's workload.
