本考案は、電子写真複写機用感光体のクリーニ
ング装置、詳しくは、トナーの流出を防ぐ密封手

したがつて、コピー終了に伴ない感光体が停止す
ると、弾性部材が感光体の一定位置に常時圧接し
感光体の一定位置に長期間圧力が加わることにな

れの発生を防止するものも提案されているが、こ
れは、クリーニング時及び非クリーニング時を問
わず、同一の弾性部材が感光体に常時接触してい
るため、弾性部材の損耗が激しいばかりか、弾性
部材と感光体との摩擦帯電による静電潜像への悪
影響及び感光体が傷つく等の不具合があり、しか
も弾性部材は、クリーニング用であるから、材
質、形状及び接触方法等に種々の制約があり、延

ボツクス2の端部付近に設けられかつ当該クリー
ナーボツクス2と前記感光体1周面との隙間を封
止するためのシール材9とを有し、前記感光体1
表面に対し、当該感光体1の動作時には前記クリ
ーニング用弾性部材7を当接すると共に前記シー
ル材9を離間し、当該感光体1の停止時には前記
シール材9を当接すると共に前記クリーニング用
弾性部材7を離間させる手段を有するから、感光
体1の動作中は、クリーニング用弾性部材7が感
光体1の表面に接して感光体1の表面を確実にク
リーニングし、また感光体1の停止中は、クリー
ニング用弾性部材7が感光体1の表面から離れる
ので、クリーニング用弾性部材7が感光体1の一
定位置に接するようなことがなく、感光体1の変
質を防ぐと共に、クリーニング用弾性部材7の寿
命を増大し、しかも感光体1の停止中は、シール
材9が感光体1の表面に接しているので、トナー
クラウドの流出を防ぎ機内汚れの発生を防止する
ものであり、かつシール材9はトナークラウドの
流出を防ぐだけのものであるから、材質、形状及
び接触方法等に格別の制約を受けず、延いては安
価なものとなるのであり、特に、感光体1の停止
時、シール材9を感光体1表面に当接させる手段
を有しているので、シール材9は確実に感光体1
表面に接触しトナークラウドの流出を機械的に、
