Abstract

PURPOSE:To reproduce data even when a track address and a sector address are inferior by writing the track address and sector address which have the same contents with the track address and sector address which are preformatted during recording operation. CONSTITUTION:The track address and sector address 20 which are preformatted are recorded previously. An independent track address and a sector address 30 having the same contents with to the address 20 are recorded at the same time when a data part 11 is written. When data is recorded, it is positioned only with the address 20, but when data is reproduced, correct positioning is performed as long as either of the addresses 20 and 30 can be recognized correctly, so that the data can be reproduced. Consequently, even when the address 20 is inferior owing to a flaw generated afterward, deterioration of a medium, various noises, etc, the data can be reproduced.
