(Prior Art) As an expansion joint for a bridge, a joint called a finger type is generally used. This joint consists of one or more pairs of finger blocks in which a plurality of fingers made of cast iron or the like are arranged side by side in a comb-like shape (each base end of which is fixed to a structure such as a bridge, and each of the fingers of each finger block is The fingers are arranged facing each other so that the fingers are located in the gaps between the fingers of a pair of finger blocks, and the pairs of opposing finger blocks move relative to each other as the bridge joint spacing expands and contracts due to temperature fluctuations, earthquakes, etc. Furthermore, as a type of this type of fitting,
In order to prevent vehicle tires from falling into the finger gaps and to prevent mud and dirt from falling from the finger gaps, a rubber plate is placed between each finger block pair so as to straddle each finger block pair of this joint. It is known that the plate-like body is placed on top of the finger block and each end of the plate-like body in the longitudinal direction of the finger is fixed to each end of the finger block.

In the conventional finger-type expansion joint in which the above-mentioned rubber plate-like body is placed on fins and go-block pairs, when the bridge joint gap is pinched and the rubber plate-like body is compressed, the rubber plate-like body is compressed. There was a problem with it bending upward and floating. Particularly in suspension bridges where the gap between joints expands and contracts significantly, the lifting of the rubber plate becomes noticeable when the gap between the joints narrows.
Not only is this dangerous for vehicles to pass, but there is a great possibility that the plate itself may be damaged.

The present invention has been made for the purpose of solving the above-mentioned problems in finger-type expansion joints equipped with rubber plate-like bodies, and includes: ! The purpose of the present invention is to provide a finger type expansion joint in which there is no fear that the plate-like body will lift up when the joint interval of the beams is narrowed and the plate-like body is compressed.

[Configuration to Solve the Problems] The joint of the present invention that achieves the above object has one or more pairs of finger blocks each having a plurality of comb-like fingers, each of which has its base end fixed to a structure such as a bridge. A plate made of an elastic material such as rubber or synthetic resin, arranged so that each finger of each finger block is located in the gap between the fingers of the pair of finger blocks, and straddles each finger block pair. In a bridge joint in which a plate-shaped body is placed on the finger block pair and the end of the plate-shaped body in the longitudinal direction of the finger is fixed to the finger block or the structure, the finger is slid at an appropriate location. It was attached so that it could move freely.

The plate-shaped body is connected to the locking member slidably attached to the finger, so when the joint spacing of the bridge narrows, compressive force that is not absorbed by the contraction of the plate-shaped body acts on the locking member, resulting in locking. The member moves IM along the fingers until this compressive force is absorbed by contraction of the plate-shaped body, and the plate-shaped body is compressed following the reduction of the joint spacing while remaining in close contact with the fingers.

At this time, the plate-like body 7 tries to expand and contract as the joint spacing expands and contracts, but the stretching and compressive forces that are not absorbed by the expansion and contraction of the plate-like body act on the collar 6.6', causing the collar 6.6' to 3 and 3', and when this elongation force and compression force are finally absorbed by the expansion and contraction of the plate-like body 7, the collar 6
.. 6' ends the sliding. Therefore, when the joint spacing of the bridge decreases, the collars 6 and 6' slide toward the base ends 2a and 2a' of the finger blocks 2 and 2', respectively.
The plate-shaped body 7 is in close contact with the finger blocks 2, 2')
Compression follows smoothly as the joint spacing decreases.

As a locking member that is slidably attached to the fingers 3, 3', the collar shown in the above embodiment does not require any processing on the fingers, and has an extremely simple structure, yet ensures reliable sliding. This is particularly preferable because it allows for a strong connection between the plate-shaped body and the plate-like body, but the locking member is not limited to this. FIG. 5 shows a modification of the locking member. In this modified example, the locking member is formed as a member 13 having a U-shaped cross section, and a pair of rollers 13b are attached to the inner sides of both side walls 13a of this member 13, and the top wall is provided with a pair of rollers 13b. A screw hole 13c for a bolt for attaching the plate-shaped body 7 is formed.

On the other hand, these rollers 13 are located on both sides of the finger 3.3'.
Long grooves 3a and 3a' that can be engaged with are formed. The roller 13b is connected to the long grooves 3a and 3a' of the fingers 3 and 3'.
The member 13 is fitted onto the finger 3.3' at an appropriate location, and the plate-shaped body 7 is then connected to the member 13 by the same means as in the above embodiment. The locking member may be modified in various other ways, as long as it is slidably attached to the fingers 3 and 3' and is capable of connecting the plate-shaped body 7.

When a large vehicle passes over the plate-like body 7, the plate-like body 7 slides on the fingers 3 and 3' in the direction of travel of the vehicle due to the frictional force between the tires of the vehicle and the plate-like body 7, and the plate-like body If local deformation occurs in the plate member 7, unexpected situations such as damage to the plate member 7 may occur. Therefore, in order to prevent such a situation from occurring, a large number of protrusions in the width direction are provided in parallel on either the bottom surface of the plate-shaped body 7 and the top surface of the fingers 3.3', and these protrusions are fitted onto the other side. Sliding between the finger 3.3' and the plate-like body 7 in which a large number of matching lateral grooves are arranged in parallel, or a large number of small protrusions are formed on one side and a recess into which these small protrusions fit is formed on the other side. A means for preventing this may be provided.

Although such a slip prevention means functions effectively when a vehicle passes, the plate-shaped body 7 connected to the locking member slides on the finger 3.3' as the joint spacing expands and contracts due to changes in temperature, etc. Since no load is applied from above, this sliding movement is not hindered.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, according to the present invention, a plate-shaped body made of an elastic material such as rubber or synthetic resin is connected to a locking member slidably attached to an appropriate location of the finger. When the joint spacing of a bridge narrows, the locking member slides along the fingers until the compressive force is absorbed by the contraction of the plate, and the plate remains in close contact with the fingers). It follows and is compressed and does not lift up from the fingers. Therefore, it is safe for vehicles to pass through, there is no risk of damage to the plate-like body, and it is particularly effective as a joint for bridges such as suspension bridges where the joint spacing is large in expansion and contraction.
