2. Description of the Related Art Various types of automated devices have already been proposed for cutting long fabrics made of various types of fabric into fixed lengths. Generally, fabric is flexible and deforms easily, so cutting it under tension is difficult.
For example, knitted fabrics such as knitted fabrics are unsuitable because they cause deformation, so a method is often used in which the fabrics are easily supported by suction using vacuum suction and then cut to a fixed length and size under this supported state. Part 1
An example is a device that sucks fabric with a rotatable suction plate, cuts it to a fixed size, and stacks the cut fabric pieces on a support stand (Tokuko Showa).
47-2796). In this method, a suction plate is provided so as to be rotatable from a vertical position to a horizontal position, and the suction plate in the vertical position suction-supports the fabric hanging down along the surface of the plate, and the fabric is held in this state. The cut fabric is cut above the suction plate, the suction plate is rotated to a horizontal position while the cut fabric is being suctioned, the suction is released, and the pieces of fabric are dropped onto the support base below and stored in a stack. Automated work must be performed intermittently, and therefore efficiency is relatively low, and there are problems such as unnecessarily occupying a large space as a device.

The traveling table 10 has the cutter 5 and the receiving roller 15.
A notch 10a is formed on one side facing the fabric 1, corresponding to the installation position of the sprocket 1, and one end of the notch 10a is arranged so that the sprocket 1 can freely circulate in parallel with the fabric width direction.
By being connected to the chain band 17 provided through the cutters 6 and 16, the cutter 5 can freely move back and forth in the width direction of the fabric, and as the cutter 5 moves back and forth, the cutter 5 rotates and moves. Then, the fabric 1 is cut in the width direction between it and the receiving roller 15. Therefore, the cutting is performed both when going forward and when going back. It shows. As shown in the figure, this cutter 5 is a type of cutter that, together with a receiving roller 15, cuts the fabric 1 into push-cut shapes as the cutter rotates. If the straight rails 8, 8 are installed horizontally in parallel with the fabric 1, cutting the fabric 1 in the width direction will result in a straight line cutting perpendicular to the width direction. parallel to the direction, from one side of the fabric to the other,
If the rail is in an inclined position with an uphill slope or a downhill slope, and the chain band 17 is also set in the same sloped position accordingly, it is possible to obtain diagonal linear cutting at a certain angle with respect to the width direction.

Automatic cutting of the long fabric 1 according to the present invention is carried out as follows. That is, by rotating the drive roller 2, the fabric 1 is moved around the guide rollers 4, 4.
The cutter 5 or the cutter 2 in the retracted position is fed out sequentially through the roller 2 guide 3.
3 and reaches between the guides 6 and 7, and at the lower end of the guides 6 and 7, the fabric 1 passes through the driven roller 31 of the circulating conveyor 29 and is moved downward by the suction member 32. The fabric 1 is sucked and supported through suction, and as the conveyor 29 rotates, the fabric 1 is
are successively suction-supported from one end and move together, and when one end of the fabric is detected by the second detection member 34b on the driven roller 31 side, the driving roller is detected by the detection signal from the second detection member 34b. 2 and the conveyor 29 are stopped, and one of the pair of opening/closing guides 6 and 7 is operated by the cylinder 26 to close it to the guide 6 side, so that the dough 1 is gripped here. When the dough 1 is gripped by the guides 6 and 7, in the case of the rotary cutter 5 shown in FIGS. From position to Y position,
By running the fabric 1 in the width direction, the fabric 1 is cut into push-cut shapes between the rotating cutter 5 and the receiving roller 15, and the rotating cutter 5 is moved to the Y position together with the running table 10. Reach and stop at this position. Next, in the pair of opening/closing guides 6 and 7, the guide 7 is connected to the cylinder 26.
By opening the conveyor 29 and driving the conveyor 29 again, the tip of the cut fabric reaches the first detection member 34a on the driving roller 30 side (this may be done by using a timer), and the conveyor 29 is opened. By stopping the running of the conveyor 29 and at the same time stopping the suction by the suction member 32, the cut fabric 1, which has already been conveyed while being suctioned and held on the lower side of the conveyor 29 over its entire length, is transferred to the lower stacking table 35. It will fall horizontally onto the top and be supported. When the fabric 1 is supported on the stacking table 35, this is detected by the detection member 37, and the elevating cylinder 36 is actuated via the detection signal, and the stacking table 35 is lifted up by one piece of fabric as the rod 36a descends. In preparation for the next fall of the fabric, the rotation of the drive roller 2, the fixing of the conveyor 29, and the suction of the suction member 32 are restarted, and the rear end of the fabric 1 is cut by the cutter 5. The side is sent out again, and this passes through the opening/closing guides 6 and 7.
It is sucked and supported by the conveyor 29 side, and one end reaches the position of the second detection member 34b, and the conveyor 29 and drive roller 2 are stopped, and the dough 1 is gripped by closing the opening/closing guides 6 and 7, and the fabric 1 is held at the Y position. The rotary cutter 5, which had been stopped at , is now moved back from the Y position to the X position through the drive of the chain belt 17 of the traveling table 10, while cutting the fabric 1 between the rotary cutter 5 and the receiving roller 15. When the cutting is completed by reaching the X position, the guides 6 and 7 are opened again and the conveyor 29 is opened again.
Back end (cut end) of the next cut fabric 1
is detected by the first detection member 34a, the conveyor 29 is stopped and the suction is stopped, and the cut fabric 1 is dropped onto the stacking table 35 and stacked,
Thereafter, the above steps are automatically repeated, and the long fabric 1 is cut into a fixed length and a fixed shape over its entire length. The cutter 5 is the fixed lower blade 23a
In the case of the sandwiching cutter 23 using the movable upper blade 23b, cutting is performed by the opening/closing operation of the cylinder 25 of the movable upper blade 23b, and the cutter 23 is always in an open state, pinching the dough 1. It is different from the traveling rotary cutter 5 only.

That is, in the present invention, a long fabric 1 that has been folded or wound into a roll is sent out by an actively rotating drive roller 2, and is sucked onto a conveyor 29 placed in a horizontal state. Since it is supported, there is no need to apply excessive tension or force to the knitted or woven structure of the fabric, eliminating deformation and distortion of the fabric, and expansion and contraction of the tissue, allowing safe and damage-free support and movement. . Further, the cutting is performed by the cutters 5 to 23 located above the guides 6 and 7, which can be opened and closed, at an intermediate position between the drive roller 2 and the transport conveyor 29. Accurate, smooth and distortion-free cutting can be obtained, and in this case as well, the plate-shaped guides 6 and 7 clamp and fix the fabric surface.
Correct cutting can be easily obtained without causing excessive tension, deformation, distortion, etc. to the fabric structure. Moreover, in the automated process of the present invention, there is only a short pause during cutting with the cutter, and the feeding, suction support, and cutting of the fabric 1 can be carried out almost continuously, making it possible to cut the fabric 1 with extremely high efficiency. As a device, only the conveyor 29, the drive roller 2 on one side thereof, the cutter 5 or 23, the opening/closing guides 6, 7, and the stacking table 35 below the conveyor are sufficient, which is extremely advantageous in simplifying the mechanism and compacting the installation space. This method is extremely advantageous as it allows continuous and automatic production of cut pieces of fixed length, fixed size, and fixed shape from continuous long lengths of various types of fabric.
It also has great versatility.
